There has been a recent change to the SDS Interface PCB (Sigma Part # 340113).
The input connector on the main machine harness has two common ground lines that plug in
to Pin 5 and Pin 10 on the SDS PCB (Sigma Part # 340113). These are identical ground
signals from the game.
A modification has been made to the board that defines one of the common lines as a newly
defined connection. The new connection is door common and is electrically isolated from the
rest of the game. The line connects the common poles on the main and drop door switches.
This allows remote signal monitoring on both switches with the game off.
This modification is backward compatible with the Rev A. and original SDS boards because
the old harness will function and all signals will be correct. If a new board is installed into an
older machine, the board will provide door signals referenced to ground.
The SDS PCB has been modified to reflect these changes.
EDT Monitoring
The EDT system will still be able to monitor the main door signal through Pin 4 and the
optocoupler. The reason for this is that we use two different contact sets on our switches
(DPDT) with one set still connected to the machine’s electrical ground.
