For Your Safety

General Operation
Throughout this manual you will notice that the everyday operation of the receiver is based
on a series of user friendly on screen display and menus. These menus will help you get the
most from your receiver, guiding you through installation, channel organizing, viewing and
many other functions.
All functions can be carried out using the buttons on the RCU, and some of the
functions can also be carried out using the buttons on the front panel.
The receiver is easy to use, always at your command and adaptable for future
advances.
Please be aware that new software may change the functionality of the receiver.
Should you experience any difficulties with the operation of your receiver, please consult the
relevant section of this manual, including the Problem Shooting, or alternatively call your
dealer or a customer service adviser.

QUICK INSTALLATION
Quick Installation
Thank you for purchasing this receiver. For the first use this receiver, please refer to the
following steps.
1 Referring to the above system connections in page 4, 5 make sure that the TV signal,
TV set and Receiver are connected well.
Turn on the TV set and switch to Video/AV mode. Turn on the receiver and insert the
CA card into the slot correctly. 2
Face the metal interface down to the ground and insert the card into the slot according to
the arrow direction drawn on the Smart Card. Note: During the powering on or the
initializing, please avoid to remove or insert the Smart Card often in order not to damage
the receiver or the SMART Card, even in the whole operation process.
3 Just press the ok on the screen You will achieve the auto search
function.
Note: For the newly-bought receiver or there is no program list in the receiver, the
message box There is no channel stored, auto search now? (Make sure the signal is
input correctly) will be displayed on the screen when you power on the receiver. Press
OK key to start searching.
5 Press keys to select the channel, press OK key at the selected channel
to view it in full-screen, or press EXIT key to normal mode.

Use keys to select the item that you want to operate, and press OK key
to enter into their windows. In main page window, press EXIT key to return the normal
TV/Radio mode.
In normal mode or main page window, press TV RADIO EPG NVOD keys on the
RCU to enter into TV window RADIO window EPG window and NVOD directly.
Note
1. Use keys on the RCU to operate menu completely, or use keys on the front panel to
operate the part menus.
2. Make sure the CA card is inserted into the slot correctly, so that you can view
programs and operate menus fluently.
3. There are some prompts at the bottom of the menus for reference.
TV
In main page window, there are two ways to enter into the full-screen TV mode:
select TV item and OK key, or press TV/RADIO key on the RCU directly.
In normal TV mode, press numeric keys (0-9) or keys to select the program
that you want to view.
RADIO
In main page window, there are two ways to enter into Radio broadcasting mode:
select RADIO item and OK key; or press TV/RADIO key on the RCU directly.
In normal Radio mode, press numeric keys (0-9) or key to select the program
that you want to listen to.

MENU OPERATION
EPG
EPG equals to one electronic program guide, from which you can look up all the programs
in a week. The contents shown in this window are provided by the front-end operator. In
main menu, move cursor to EPG item and press OK key to enter into this window directly.
Press keys to switch between the channel list column and the channel guide
list column. In the channel guide list, press the numeric keys(1-7) or keys to
select from Monday to Sunday. In the program guide list of selected date, press
keys to select up or down. Select the desired program guide and press OK key
to book it. If you want to cancel the booking, press OK key once again. Press INFO key at
selected program guide to view its detail description.
In this window, press green key on the RCU to enter into Booking Manage window.
Press EXIT or RECALL key to return to window.

In channel Prog menu, select Channel Edit item, press OK key to enter into TV
Channel Edit window. In this window, you can use colour keys on the RCU to
favorite, Move, Lock and Delete the channels as you like.

In TV admin window, after setting, press exit key to exit. System will pop up a message box
for your confirmation. Press OK key to save and return to the previous menu, otherwise
press exit key to return to the previous menu.
Do the same operations as 1.1 Edit, here we don't explain any more..
In menu, select manual search and press OK key to enter into search Channel Prog by
hand window. Referring to the operator's parameters, you can add channels by yourself.
We suggest that users had better to remain the original settings.
After setting, move cursor to start button, press OK key to enter into the searching window.
This window is the same as 1.4 automatic search window, here we don't explain any
more .

MEMU OPERATION
In Channel Prog menu select Auto search item and press OK key. In auto search
window system will search programs according to the present RF channel list
For the first searching, all searched TV channels, Radio channels, Information channels
will be displayed on the list in order. If you have searched channels before, this time
only the new searched channels will be displayed on the list.
In channel prog menu, select booking manage item and press OK key to enter into booking
manage window. If there is no booked channel, the list will be empty. If you want to book
channels, please refer to EPG.

In TV & Radio Set window, user can adjust the audio, modulator, screen format and mode
according to the actual affection.
Select among AUTO, PAL and NTSC.
Select proper ratio among AUTO, 4:3
and 16:9.
Select proper mode among AUTO,
PANSCAN, LETTERBOX.
Press keys to select among left
right mixture and stereo.

Program Lock: Parents can lock the programs which is not suitable for their children to
watch by pressing OK on the program, and the pane in front of the program will be
marked with " ",after that consumers can lock the programs they selected in 1.4 TV
Admin.
Menu lock: Do the same operations as the STB Lock.
STB Lock: You can use STB Lock by pressing OK on it. It will be marked with
So when you turn on the STB it will pop up the pass word window every time.
Input old pass word: Input the pass word by pressing number keys 0-9.It will ask you to input
it again when the old password is not corrected.
Input new pass word Input the pass word by pressing number keys 0-9
Confirm new pass word Press number key 0-9 to input new pass word again. It will ask
you to input pass word again if it is difference in twice input.
Note The default password is: 0000. please safekeeping your new password or it will
influence your operation. If new pass word lost, please contact service provider.
In system page window, select CA Information item and press OK key to enter into system
setting menu. This menu includes two important items: Password set and Smart card
information.

In CA information window, select smart card Information item and press OK key to enter into.
This menu includes two important items: Password set and Smart card information.
In CA Information, you can know: smart card basic information, PP information, parents lock
setting and user view control.
Note: when the receiver is restored to the factory status, all parameters and the searched
channels will be erased.
