Topic:The pie charts show the main reasons for migration to and from the UK in 2007.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons
where relevant.
The given pie charts illustrate the driving forces that contributed in the moving of people to
and out from UK in 2007.
It can be seen from the charts that there are six main factors resulting in annual migration and
employment was the leading one. More than a half of the people migrated for professional offer
reason, which leading to 30% of immigration and 29% of emigration. Interestingly, almost one-fifth
people enter the britain seeking for job , while a quarter people leave UK for the same reason.
Furthermore, a significant number of people, just over a quarter, move to the Britain for
educational purpose, which is almost 6 times higher than that of emigration. When it refers to family
reunion, the proportion of immigrants and emigrants were quite similar, 15% and 13%, respectively.
However, 32% of people gave other or no reason for leaving U.K. and this percentage for reasons
lead to amolst one-fifth people in immigration.
