MINUTES OF THE FIRST GPTA MEETING


SEPTEMBER 02, 2022

PTA meeting is one of the various activities conducted by the Parent – Teacher
Association of schools. The main role of Parent – Teacher Associations is to build strong
relationships between parents, teachers, the whole school community, and get to know the
persons involved in the development of the curriculum, the proposed projects, programs, and
the activities to be taken-up.
The first general PTA Meeting was held with almost perfect attendance of parents.
Mrs. Maria Jessa G. Balangue was assigned as the Master of Ceremonies. The meeting started at
exactly 8:00 ‘clock in the morning with the singing of the National Anthem conducted by Mrs.
Sherry -Anne G. Mangulad, Grade 1 Adviser, followed by a prayer presented by Mrs. Joilyn G.
Lagua, Grade 3 Adviser, and checking of attendance was done by Mrs. Jenefer Agustina P.
Magora, Grade 6 Adviser. Mrs. Myla C. Layron, Kindergarten Adviser welcomed the parents and
stakeholders with warm of applause because of their almost perfect attendance.
Right after the preliminaries, the microphone was turned over to the Teacher – In -
Charge Mr. Rey Juan L. Batta for the following agenda of the meeting:

1. SBFP Accomplishment Report of 2021 - 2022
2. Brigada Eskuwela Accomplishment of 2021 - 2022
3. MOOE Accomplishment Report of 2021- 2022
4. School Handbook
5. No Collection Policy
6. Election of GPTA Officers.

The School Head started his discussion with a quote “Coming together is the beginning,
keeping together is progress, working together is success.” He said that general assembly was
scheduled to discuss important matters such as programs, projects and activities implemented
on the face-to-face classes and other reports. He then asked the parents on what to do, what
could they help for the betterment of the school and for the benefits of the children. He added
that during such assembly, external stakeholders are also invited.
Mrs. Shiela D. Addulam was discussed the SBFP Accomplishment of 2021 – 2022. She
asked the help of every parent to monitor the health of their children and worked together for
the Gulayan sa Paaralan for secondary supplement of the SBFP beneficiaries for the school year
2022- 2023.
The Brigada Coordinator Mrs. Joilyn G. Lagua started her discussion with a quote “True
leadership lies in guiding others to success. In ensuring that everyone is performing at their
best, doing the work they pledged to do and doing it well.” – Bill Owens. She said that the effort
that their rendered on the school year 2021 – 2022 have a wonderful result because the school
garnered second place for the small category Brigada Eskuwela Contest. She also said to the
parents and stakeholders on this school year 2022-2023 will work hand in hand to aim the first
place and not for the contest but for the improvement of the school and the betterment of their
children especially in their learning activities.
“Budgeting is difficult, but if you know how to manage it, the outcome is SUCCESS!”. Mrs.
Myla C. Layron the disbursing officer discussed the MOOE Accomplishment of 2021 – 2022.
School Handbook was discussed by the very brilliant and patience School Head Mr. Rey
Juan L. Batta. He emphasized the importance of school handbook. It contains the learner code of
conduct, policies, rules, principles and guidelines, and contact administrators and teachers of
the school for any courses of action and decisions. He also highlighted to the parents about the
“No Collection Policy.” He also reminded all of them that we must maintained the cleanliness
and orderliness of the school ground.
Then, Mr Rey Juan L. Batta, Teacher – In - Charge, asked the parents if they are aware of the
ground improvement of the school. He asked the present of every parent to come if we need the
ground improvement.
After the meeting proper, Mrs. Myla C. Layron lead and open the election for the new set
of GPTA Officers for the School Year 2022 – 2023.

The incoming GPTA Officers will be the one to set the date of the GPTA meeting and to
exercise one of their duties which is to preside the meeting. They should be the officers who are
always on the go and not just to sleep on post. The election of GPTA Officers is done yearly. They
are authorized to collect voluntary contributions and solicit and undertake fund-raising activity
with the approval of the school principal and the permission of the LGU and the Schools Division
Office of Cagayan for the proposal of projects, programs, and activities. They must participate to
sign in the confirmation and acceptance of a proposed projects. All PTA projects and programs
should be aligned with the SIP. No collection of PTA contribution should be done during the
enrolment and no teacher should be involved in the collection of any contribution. The
treasurer should do the job with receipt. He reminded the parents not to interfere in academics
and administrative management of the teacher.

The meeting was adjourned at exactly 5:00 in the afternoon. It was done smoothly and
successfully.

MINUTES OF THE FIRST HPTA MEETING

Homeroom Parent Teacher Association (HPTA) is a partnership between parents and educators who
strive to enhance learners learning and enrich the lives of the learners within the school. It is also a forum for
parents to obtain knowledge and voice their opinions about what is happening in the school.
Before we started the meeting, I check the attendance of my parent.
We started the meeting at 8:00 in the morning with a short prayer led by Mr. Sherwin Talay.
Then I started to present my agenda:
1. Simple guidelines, rules, and regulations inside the classroom. (for the learners)
2. Election of Homeroom PTA Officers
3. Homeroom Donations
4. Other Matters

For the first agenda, I emphasized the simple guidelines, rules, and regulations inside the classroom:
a. arrive on time for class
b. do not get absent if you are not sick (write an excuse letter)
c. raise your hand to speak or volunteer
d. follow the dress code of the school
e. respect everyone in the class
For the second agenda I presided the election for the newly set of HPTA Officers of the Grade 6 for
the School Year 2022 – 2023. Below are the elected Homeroom PTA Officers:

Next agenda is the suggestions of homeroom donations for the school year 2022 – 2023. Mr. Sherwin
L. Talay suggested having one electric fan since the school provided one already and have an extension wire as
the homeroom donations and everybody agreed on it. The estimated amount for the homeroom donations
was Php 1,000.00 to be divided to 12 learners. They decided the deadline for the said payment is September
19, 2022.
After the election of Homeroom PTA and agreement on the Homeroom Donations, Mrs. Josephine L.
Balunsat took over to discuss about the activities regarding the contested event in Gulayan Sa Paaralan within
the school campus.
The meeting was then adjourned and ended with a prayer led by Mrs. Rosa Naglingadan at almost
9:30 in the morning.
