III. Answer the following questions :


1) What is the climate of Delhi ?
Ans : Delhi is very hot in summer and very
cold in winter . In summer , hot day winds
called loo blows. It gets rash during the
monsoon months from July to September.

2) Why is Delhi called ‘Mini India' ?


Ans : People from all over the country live
in Delhi. They speak different languages and
celebrate different festivals. Yet they all are
Indians . Thus, we can call Delhi a ‘Mini
India’.
3) What is the significant of Aman Jawan
Jyothi ?
Ans : In the middle of the India Gate, there
is a flame called Amar Jawan Jyothi. It keep
burning 24 hours a day to remind us of the
Indian soldiers who died fighting for the
country .

4) What is the Iron Pillar famous for ?


Ans : The Iron Pillar was built by King
Ashoka several hundred years ago . It is
famous because it has not rusted after such a
long period.
