INTRODUCTION
Anthropometry
The measurement of a human being is known as anthropometry. It was a physical

anthropology's first identification tool, and it has also been used to explain human physical
variation, in pale anthropology, and in numerous attempts to link physical characteristics to
racial and psychological characteristics. The systematic measurement of the physical
characteristics of the human body—primarily the dimensions of size and shape—takes place
with an anthropometry

CONCEPT
MODERN CHINESE
My client is a married couple. One Nepalese and one Chinese. They wanted me to design an
apartment in Chinese style. They also requested me to not to it too much. So I tried my best not
to over do it and keep it simple. I achieved it by adding paintings on the all and some basic
carvings into the furniture.
SITE SELECTION
My site is located in NAKKHU, LALITPUR. The house has 3 floors and my actual site
is on 3rd floor which has 1 bedroom, 1 kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 1 living room.

BEDSIDE TABLE
There are many distinct styles and shapes of bedside tables with various sizes. A typical bedside
table measures about 24 by 16 inches. Typically, these measurements are advised for adults. A
36-inch-wide bedside table is another choice for those who like a larger table that can also be
used as storage space. The drawer of a bedside table might be as narrow as 12 inches wide, and
the table's height can differ from that of the bed. The normal size is typically 28 inches, although
it can also be 24 inches or 34 inches high.
WARDDROBE
Additionally, wardrobes come in a variety of designs, shapes, and sizes. Although they can also
be 18 or 12 inches deep, wardrobe cabinets are typically 24 inches deep. The height of a

wardrobe depends on the height of the room, but the normal size is 72 inches, and the range for
width is 24 to 96 inches.
SOFA
Typically, a sofa is between 74 and 84 inches long, 30 to 40 inches wide, and 30 to 40 inches
height. Furthermore, the size of the sofa is influenced by the size of the room.

Coffee Table
Typically, the coffee table is 1-2 inches lower than the seating height of the sofa. The height can
range from 15 to 17 inches, depending on the size of other furniture in the area or on personal
taste.

TV CABINET
Regardless of the size of your space, medium TV stands offer exactly the correct amount of surface
area and storage space, making it simple to raise the height and style of your TV.
64" and 70" in sizes TV credenzas and TV consoles are both synonyms for the same item, and they
are suggested for the living room or bedroom. The center of the TV screen on a TV stand should
be positioned at roughly 42" (107 cm) from the floor, which is the height at which a person sitting
on a conventional couch finds it most comfortable to watch television.

COMMODE
The normal toilet's dimensions are around 20 inches wide, 27 to 32 inches high, and 10 to 14
inches deep.
WASH SINK
The most standard sizes of wash basin range from 50 to 60 cm. For large bathrooms, it is worth
choosing a larger wash basin like 80 to 90 cm.

SHOWER
KITCHEN SINK

The standard kitchen sink size measures 22-by-30 inches (Length by Width), sink sizes generally
depend on the interior width of the sink’s cabinet. On an average, cabinets measure 36 to 42
inches high, 24 inches deep and 25-1/4 to 26 inches wide.
KITCHEN COUNTER
Depending on the height of the person using the kitchen, the counter height may change. There
should be a 15 cm space between the countertop and elbow height. Almost always, the height
of the sink is equal to that of the kitchen counter. A sink should have a depth of 56 cm.
UPPER CABINETS
The wall modules' 32 cm depth prevents us from running into cabinet shutters while we are
cooking.

DINING TABLE SET
36 to 40 inches broad characterizes most rectangular tables. It should be

around 48" length to accommodate four persons at a table. To accommodate
four to six people, look for a table at least 60" long. For six to eight people, your
table needs to be at least 78" long.
REFRIGERATOR
Standard refrigerator sizes range from around 24 to 40 inches in width, 62 to 72 inches in height
and 29 to 36 inches in depth.

CHAIR
For chair heights, there is no unambiguous industry standard. From the chair leg to the top of the
seat, chair heights typically range from 17 to 19 inches (43 to 48 cm). 16–23 inches (40–58 cm) is
the height range for stools. Standard chair heights for fitting beneath tables from 28 to 30 inches
(71 to 76 cm) are as follows.

The procedure of researching a project and recording it using writings, sketches, diagrams, and
photographs is known as a case study. One must think about learning from the mistakes of others
if they are to comprehend the numerous parts of building design and construction. Any project
