Nowadays, people tend to search information on the
internet. However, they have forgotten that libraries were the best source of information before. First of all, libraries provide free access to scholarly books, journals, newspapers, encyclopedias, and other print reference sources, regardless of the internet which doesn’t provide these writings without them being bought or a paid subscription. Moreover, there are ancient books which can be found only in the libraries. For instance, the True Red Dragon. This ancient text holds the key to summoning the devil. While this is most likely passed on superstition, for philosophers, it’s an interesting text. There is also the point that, libraries are the safest place. The internet draws individuals together, frequently in pleasant and beneficial ways, such as around mutual challenges or interests. However, cyberbullying and trolling might make people hesitant to interact with those they disagree with or to even initially voice their thoughts. In libraries, everyone is welcome to congregate in a positive way. In my opinion, libraries need to be more appreciated and visited frequently .
