SEMESTRAL PROJECT IN STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT

Strategic management is important in the business firms since its role is to manage the
resources of a firm to achieve its goals and objectives successfully. It is served as an action plan
to ensure that the performance targets are met to have a continues growth of business. Strategic
management gives general direction by formulating plans and policies aimed at achieving goals,
and then allocating resources to put those plans into action. I may then conclude that, strategic
management is used by businesses to obtain a competitive advantage over their competitors.
Setting effective goals for employees and integrating them in organizational objectives can
increase overall performance, which can be boosted by strategic management. When business
and employee goals are aligned, both business and employee performance can improve.
As a student, I have learned a lot in this course and I am confident that I can use it in my
future work especially when I became a leader in an organization. Because having the skills and
knowledge that I have gained in this course is my competitive advantage when I start to enter in
the business industry. This course taught me how to strategize especially in times when the
business met some challenges that can downsize the company growth. Even though I am still
lacking the knowledge in some other field in business industry, I will surely use the knowledge
that I had in this course.
The skills especially the leadership skills that I learned from this course will help me in
building my organization into a competitive and a goal-centered organization which has strong
plans to make the goals achievable with a strong relationship to co-workers so that we can enjoy
working with each other that can also result into a high job performance.
