Answer 2.4FE:
For rubber, the bonding is covalent with some van
der Waals. (Rubber is composed primarily of carbon
and hydrogen atoms.)
Answer 2.27:
For solid xenon, the bonding is van der Waals since
xenon is an inert gas.
for calcium fluoride is CaF2. Using the positions of Ca
and F from the periodic table the bonding for calcium
fluoride is ionic bonding.
For Bronze is an alloy consist of two metals copper and
tin. The type of bonding between two metals is metallic
bonding.
For cadmium telluride CdTe, the bonding is covalent
(with some slight ionic character) on the basis of the
relative positions of Cd and Te in the periodic table.
For rubber, the bonding is covalent with some van
der Waals. Rubber is composed primarily of carbon
and hydrogen atoms.
From the periodic table, it can be seen that Tungsten is a
metallic element. Since it is a metallic element the
bonding is metallic bonding.
Answer 2.2:
Average atomic mass of an element is defined as the
sum of masses of each isotope each multiplied by
their natural fractional abundance.
Molar mass=
