Introduction:

Global integration with the evolution of globalization of the world economy, has led to an
increased global economic augmentation of trade. The cyclical nature of integration and
disintegration of economy, has shifted trade dynamics globally. Domestic business as well as
international business is greatly influenced by the Global competition and so its environment.
Hence, this r e q u i r e s an understanding of environmental factors and other Social, Economic
Regulatory & Trade issues for comprehending the dynamic character of international business.
There is a need to understand the complex Trade policy frameworks and institutional
mechanisms. The concept of scanning the global environment and its impact on business
decisions will be analyzed.
The course also lays emphasis on Globalization, Environment and Human Challenges in
developing Global Vision of just and inclusive development through Sustainable Development
Goals. In doing so, the course seeks to enable the students as future managers and
entrepreneurs to work in an open, highly competitive, and dynamic business environment both
at a national and global level.

- The emerging economies and trade arrangements, International Business and sustainability
in the complex environment.

Course Outcome:

Upon completion of the course the student will be able to

- Interpret the global business environment, identify opportunities and recurring challenges
for entering new (and emerging) markets.
- List the critical issues of the Institutionalization of Global Business and trade, and infer on
the case for free trade
- Relate with current times, and summarize reasons responsible for the critical shift from
consensus to disengagement of countries from the global trading system.
- Discuss globalization, Environment and Human Challenges in developing Global Vision of
just and inclusive development through Sustainable Development Goals
