1) Do you like playing mobile games?

ANS- YES, I like playing mobile games especially multiplayer games with my friends it boosts up my
immersive experience in the game. Not only just to connect with my friends I enjoy when I beat a
certain level or overpower my co players in the game which improves my confidence and keep me
refreshed when I feel low sometime after my work and stepping up my name on leader board is also
the good motivation to stay intact in the game. Which makes it pretty engaging to me as the
technology is evolving gaming mechanics and graphic fidelity is reaching on higher side which makes
the gameplay smooth and interesting.
2) From a player's perspective do you think the skill required to play a chess
game on a board vis-a-vis digitally through mobile is different?
Ans- what I feel is the psychology more than skill. as the same skillset players get opposite outcome in
my experience my friend says he plays better chess in mobile and another friend says on board feels
natural and best. What I feel is that having another human on board against an inanimate computer
screen there are big factors which affect the gameplay on a positive and negative side. When it comes
to Opponent's Body There's a lot more to read about his body language, basic psychology, and another
sense of pressure. This pressure is different from online chess. If you're playing online, important
games, or games that take a long time, you'll feel that 'pressure' in some way. So, what I feel is there
is no such difference in skillset requirement for chess even if u play on board or mobile it’s just a
matter of phycology for me. which depends on player-to-player mindset.

In this picture there are less dimensions which significantly adds up or deducts player gameplay
perfomance. what I meant with dimensions is phone screen, ai player or a real player sitting
somewhere else and the angle of the board etc.
In this picture we can see how many dimensions are there to deal with when it comes to play chess
on board which positively and negatively impacts player performance which totally depend upon
individuals.

3) Please share name of your favourite mobile game. What are the top 5 things
that you like in the mobile game?
Ans- BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA

TOP 5 THINGS I LIKE IN THIS GAME

❖ UNIQUE CONCEPT AND ARCHITECTURE- WELL according to me this game is a trendsetter for
other games the concept of the game was revolutionary for the mobile devices because
before that we have played graphic intensive games but no game is able to get full
engagement of the players. I like how the game is evolving at great pace and creating a big
revolution in gaming industry to set a benchmark for other games because of how good the
game performs across the whole worldwide players with different maps, weapons, modes etc
even full flexibility when it comes to different mobile devices compatibility.

❖ DYNAMIC GAMEPLAY AND CUSTOMIZATION – I like how this game takes approach with the
player freedom and experimental tactics to follow up and come up with innovative strategy
in which execution is depends on player skillset and experience because this game mechanics
are so deep and highly sensitive to multiple factored like weapon recoil, device gyroscope
sensor and every gun has different recoil trigger rate with different damage rate and much
more which gives player freedom to develop his gameplay style according to his will and
regarding the customization it has huge database for it which gets update time to time from
outfit to weapon to even your helmet you wear everything is customizable. Which make this
game one of a kind in the gaming industry according to me.
In this picture we can see how we can customise and use the power of our gyroscope senser present
in our mobile to reduce the recoil of the gun which depends on your sensitivity adaptiveness and the
sensitivity is always different for different scopes you use in different guns. which makes this game
model pretty detailed and diverse.
I like this feature also where I can use my playing style according to my will to increase my performance
in the game by using 3 fingers setting, I have control and attention to multiple fields in the game and
it increases my response time to double rate. which is totally different to other players. It requires
practise and experience to master any control layout as your default playstyle.
here what I like is the diversity of weapons not only limited to difference in looks but also in amount
of their recoil, grips, extended mag, stock, ammo type, scopes compatibility and great customizability
which gives me full freedom to use full potential of my playing style and get immersive experience in
the game.

❖ GRAPHICS FIDELITY AND IN-GAME ENGINE MECHANICS-

When it comes to graphics it is one of the best-looking mobile games in my list in fact it does not
demand only high-end devices it adapts the game according to the device hardware capabilities and
specifications which make this game playable across almost all the devices so that anybody can play
this gem in their device without a hassle of high demanding processors. and of course, if you have a
good capable device this game uses full potential of that device and gives you beautiful experience in
terms of game fps and graphics. Even now the trend is device power is benchmarked by running this
game only. And about in game mechanics game has multiple modes like death match, classic
battleground, multiple maps with different tactical requirements and currently most of the glitches
and in game bugs are solved and this game has become ultimate and getting better and better in
terms of smoothness and gaming experience.

❖ ENGAGEMENT APPROACH

well, we know games get boring after a while with that same repetitive stuff so players lose
interest but what different in this mobile online battleground is it is very consistent in terms
of regular updates and new seasons with new skins and features. which makes this game anti-
boring tablet for anyone. This game always matchup the current trend and comes with new
character, new gameplay style, bug fixes and new maps etc. which makes it feel fresh and new
to me always honestly.

❖ STABLE CONNECTIONS-

When it comes to matchmaking in server or ping connections in the game it has improved a
lot when it comes to connection functionality. This game is developed in unreal engine 4 which
gives this game huge leap over other games when it comes to online functionality and online
response timing to make the game fair for every player this game has anti cheat engine
implemented which helps the players to play fairly and get good server without so many bots
and hackers.
4) What are some of the ways by which a gaming studio can
communicate with its users of mobile games?

There are so many social handles in which studios make official announcement and note up players
feedback and most of the time it helps the studio to improve their product while they are in
development stage.

TO LIST FEW OF THEM

❖ TWITTER- Its one the major social media handle in which game studio are pretty active and
even reply to the players and get their feedback or solve their problems. Same goes for other
handles like Facebook and Instagram.

❖ YouTube- with exclusive live sessions and collaborative promotional videos uploaded time to
time connects them personally to the user through this large coverage gets to know true idea
behind the game and developer has opportunity to showcase how much hard work they have
put to produce this product.

❖ Google play/app store- direct user reviews and their suggestions/complaints get easily
accessed by developers and directly where the game is getting installed on the hand, they get
to see the players reaction on the same platform it’s not only store for them players report
bugs and glitches for the game and suggest good ideas for the game which helps developer
and studio to interact with players

❖ DISCORD- developers collaborate on multiple projects and connect with their fans, play with
other players on the same platform which increases social connect of game studio.
❖ Official community platform and event conferences- developers also interact with users in
their game community help pages or events for the suggestion, complaints, bugs, report
vulnerabilities etc for maximum updated interactions. And major announcements for the fans.

5) Please share name of your favourite mobile game. What are the top 5 things
that you do not like in the mobile game?
Ans- my favourite mobile game is battlegrounds mobile India.

Top 5 things which I do not like about this game is

❖ HACKERS- When it comes to mudding the game and making obstruction in the anti-cheat
engine which let hackers to exploit and use no-recoil, unlimited health, ambit etc which
negatively impacts the progress of natural legal player and it happen a lot in high tier rankings
which makes player difficult to progress.
There are multiple hacks like

• Wall hacking: It’s a popular tool that allows hackers to see enemies, cars, supply crates, and
more through walls. It also allows you to shoot and take down your enemies without even
peeking out.
• Headshots: The headshot hacking tool allows players to take some random shot on enemies,
and it automatically ends up being a headshot.
• Speed Shots: This hack allows users to set a limit between their aiming speed and shooting
speed. This allows you to take down your enemies easier.
• High Damage: This is usually used to increase the damage rate of the weapons available in the
game. No Footprints: This hack will not show your footsteps to your enemies, which gives you
the advantage of getting closer to them and taking them down.

And even player reports them currently hackers were able to fool the cheat engine and freely play the
game.so far bgmi has upgrading and improving their cheat engine which significantly decreased the
hackers.it really destroy my gaming experience.

Some major scripts hacker uses to exploit the servers

❖ TIME-CRUNCHER- IT IS An ADDICTIVE GAME THAT’S WHY IT IS CROWNED AS ONE OF THE BEST

MOBILE GAME BUT IT IMPACTS ON NEGETIVE SIDE AS WELL IN TERMS OF PERFOMANCE
OUTCOME IN WORK WHICH RESULTS TO LESS CONCENTRATION AND FOCUS IF IT IS NOT
CONTROLLED WITHIN THE LIMITS THAT IS WHY I PRIROTIZE MY WORK FIRST THEN MOBILE
GAME AT MY SPARE TIME SO THAT IT DOES NOT HINDER MY PERFOMANCE OTHER WAY
AROUND.
EVEN BGMI ALSO AKNOWLEDGED THESE NEGETIVE ASPECTS

❖ EXPENSIVE COLLECTIBLES – Well the game has its own currency which is called “us cash” which
is the way for transacting any collectible like skin, outfit, weapon effects, voice packs etc like
every time you have to buy royal pass which is the bgmi exclusive benefit to some players
where they get access to exclusive collectibles and every time it wants to get renewed which
directly impacts normal players who don’t want to spend lot of real cash for the digital outfit.
this is also the system which I don’t like in bgmi
BATTERY-EATER- GAME IS CPU+GPU INTENSIVE WHICH DIRECTLY DRAIN UP BATTERY JUICE AT PACE
COMPARE TO OTHER GAMES.SO THERE IS ALWAYS A WORRY THAT I SHOULD PLAY THIS GAME WHILE
CHARGER CONNECTED OR I SHOULD NOT PLAY THIS GAME WHERE I HAVE DOUBT I WILL NOT ABLE
TO GET ENOUGH SCREENTIME FOR THE DAY. IT DEPENDS ON YOUR FRAMERATE AND GRAPHIC
SETTINGS BUT COMPARED TO OTHER GAMES I FEEL IT HAS BIT HURTFUL EXPERIENCE WHEN IT COMES
TO BATTERY LIFE.
Not so consistent- This game require heavy renderings of game objects and high CPU processing with
live players playing in a batch at a server which sometimes creates lags ,slitters and ping issues in the
game which directly impacts the gaming experience at peak level because even if we have high end
device the game is not fully optimised to stay lagless in that device also for example a particular area
where the traffic of live players is more the game start to decrease up the ping and fps at that
particular point which even let players speculate the hot areas in the map. This is also what I don’t like
in this game.

6) A user of your mobile game is complaining that they have got

addicted to your game. How will you handle this situation?
Ans – I will look into his issue and eventually I will discuss it with my team as we can add a feature
in game that after long hours of gameplay, an alert message will pop up to take rest. because even
the big companies like Google and apple promotes digital wellbeing. Growth of product is
important but company reputation is more important, so for any accusation they have to take
action. That’s why they promote digital wellbeing.so I will make sure that users of my game are
comfortable and their feedbacks and complaints will be solved quickly so that no user will take any
negative decision to stop playing our game. Userbase is the key for any gaming studio so it’s my
first priority to take care of all issues and feedbacks.

7) How does a gaming studio make money from mobile games?

I feel there are multiple sources as Nothing attracts a buyer more than the word “free” now
even many popular games are free and they still earn money with no advertisements in them or
there are players who don’t buy any kind of add ones for real money. Here is how they do earn
money. Since the game is free it will get downloaded easily now if it’s really addictive and there
is some amount of advertising made on the social media ppl might download it seeing its free. If
the game is good and really interesting it will gain popularity now once a game is popular all other
new games ill want to take that popularity as a head start the start giving u deals that if u play
their game, they I’ll give you premium stuff for the game you really playing and is very popular for
that premium stuff the new game vendors pay money to the popular game team. Also, popular
games earn a lot through the branding and many gaming companies approach them to be
featured in their list and they conduct interviews for which they pay them. There are many ways
apart from in app purchases through which a game vendors earn money.

Some sources I feel are -

• ads (not too many to hinder the player's experience)

• a way to disable ads for a price
• in-app purchases
• in-app currency (buy skins, lives, power ups and more)

• For downloads Google offers money to the company

• By subscriptions
• By affiliations
• promotion of other companies through your game
8) A user of your mobile game is complaining that your platform has bots. How
will you handle this situation?
ANS- I will handle this situation by assisting user regarding need of bots in the game on some aspects
like when new player joins the game, they have to feel confident and a sense of accomplishment which
only bots can give. and not a basic but a good ai bot which fulfils the feeling of kills or defeat to any
user who joins the game at a fresh position. And when level increases the number of bots decreases
which will make user to develop confidence and face challenges eventually .so bots are there to make
game engaging and fun for initial users and when skills and level progress the bot’s competency or
count rate also changes.so I will request user to play the game more and progress further and the
changes will be visible and your query will be solved.

As I will take example of my project game – ludo. and this game is on progressing stage and in this
game, we have bots who play the game with us when there is nobody. I have used these languages
and tool

• Java – For writing the logic of the app

• XML – A markup language for designing an application.
• Canva – It is used for 2D drawing of our board for the game.

I used ai scripts for making bots run in the game as if you’re playing single player all 3 players are
executing through scripts to roll up the dice.
9) On what parameters does a gaming studio tracks the performance of mobile
games?
Ans- I feel there are multiple parameters like-

Daily Active Users – somebody started first level of my game

Sessions- how many time my game get opened no matter unique user or not

Daily active user or monthly- how frequent user open my game throughout. like how much retaining
they are in my game.

Retention rate- this is the important one where a game builds a relationship with user if user is playing
and loving the game. user will pay the premium to have competitive advantage in the game to stay
intact. So, it is important retention factor.

Churn- this one is opposite that how many have downloaded my game but left and no more playing

Conversion Rate- how many users are paying the real money in the game to have extra features or
advantage among all users. This metric is also very important for any studio.

Average Revenue Per Daily Active User- how much my game is earning daily per active user through
multiple sources.

This is how a game studio tracks the performance of the game overall.

That is why we see frequent updates and changes in the game always.
10) A lot of gaming studios offers Tambalo as a mobile game. How will you
attract and retain users to your Tambala mobile game?
To attract users to my tambola game I will strategically implement ads and make them minimalistic so
that it won’t disturb user to enjoy the game even without waiting for ad to complete because before
revenue we need a huge userbase who is loyal to the game and I will execute all those strategy to
attract user to my game with regular updates, themes, new designs, maximum stability and optimised
compatibility for all the devices and restructure the in game mechanics like players logo and
animations, colours etc to make the game out of the box. Strategic ads execution will play major role
here.
