om CONCLUSION Given the country’s numerous issues, Filipinos must rally behind the next administration led by President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpo. To assure continuity and a richer, better developed Philippines, the country should unify and mobilize behind a Maroos-Duterte-Carpio administration. ‘As Covid-19 causes national economies to grind to a standstill and life is reduced to its bare necessities, we observe the functions of government. We hope that Mr. Marcos Jr. fully understands the need for good governance in the Phiippines' immediate reaction, and that this will continue to be important both for recovery and for establishing the so-called ‘new normal" once the ciises have passed. ‘And, as the principal bearer of the duty to govern, the new president and his goverment must give Poiitcal, social, financial, and economic advice and services to their people. Lessons leamed during the pandemic show that without a capable, responsible, inclusive, and participatory government that successfully tackles existing and developing issues such as pandemics, solutions to challenges and concems will remain a bit ofa pipe dream. From a crisis mindset to an opportunity mindset, the incoming president must continue to undertake rigorous efforts to help our nation be relieved of the impacts ofthe tragedy it has undergone and Continues to endure. One example is how our agriculture industry was given a critical opportunity to be strengthened as a whole. So, when Marcos Jr. assumes power, he must recognize that the Philippines is an agriculture based country with abundant land, natural resources, and diligent farmers. Hopefuly, the haunting "Son of the North’ has a people-oriented personality, and his unselfish devotion to ensuring the agricultural sector's well-being might pave the path for substantial contributions to the welfare of our compatriots and the country at large.
