Is Galileo Guilty?

Galileo Galilei is most definitely guilty of heresy. This so called “Physicist” or

“Astronomer” has this preposterous idea that the earth rotates around the sun while the sun

stands still. I, in other words strongly disagree with this nonsense. It is deemed by the church

thereby heretical.

Galileo is the type of person that wants to make a mark, or try to make something of himself in

the scientific community. With much effort, he is in the line of fire for the second time for

deliberately refusing to accept Church orthodoxy that the Earth is the unmoveable center of the

world. As stated in Galileos letter to Christina “The reason produced for condemning the

opinion that the earth moves and the sun stands still is that in many places in the Bible one may

read that the sun moves and the earth stands still. Since the Bible cannot err, it follows as a

necessary consequence that anyone takes an erroneous and heretical position who maintains that

the sun is inherently motionless and the earth movable.” As listed in his writing of “Dialogue

Concerning the Two Chief World Systems, I accuse Galileo of such deranged assumptions, and

violating the first decree. The Council of Trent states that “The sacred and holy, ecumenical, and

general Synod of Trent,--lawfully assembled in the Holy Ghost, the Same three legates of the

Apostolic See presiding therein,--keeping this always in view, that, errors being removed, the

purity itself of the Gospel be preserved in the Church; which (Gospel), before promised through

the prophets in the holy Scriptures, our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, first promulgated with

His own mouth, and then commanded to be preached by His Apostles to every creature, as the

fountain of all, both saving truth, and moral discipline; and seeing clearly that this truth and

discipline are contained in the written books, and the unwritten traditions which, received by the

Apostles from the mouth of Christ himself, or from the Apostles themselves.” as a woman of
Is Galileo Guilty?

God I accused Galileo of going against the word of God , and instead praising his own day-to-

day fantasies about the earth moves around the sun; which is false and contrary to the Holy and

Divine Scriptures.

Galileo, very rudly so, stated that the “church fathers were not necessarily qualified to refute

scientific discoveries.” Who would ever dispute such nonsense and in such a rude manner? By

the grace of God the church fathers are held to a high standard to serve Him just like the rest of

the Lord’s people. Anyone who has such beliefs like Galileo shall be put away for the rest of

their lives for disputing such blasphemy, and unorthodox behavior!
