Humanities and Art

The humanities and arts are more important than ever in preserving our liberal ideals of

compassion, plurality, and liberty (Besan, 2019). At a moment when so much is changing the

way we operate and live, how we interact with each other and how we interact to the rest of the

globe, we cannot completely comprehend the past or imagine the future we must seek without

the humanities and arts. The paper will address the way arts is shaping humanity as well as how

humanity is shaping arts.

Influence of Art to Humanity

History, philosophy, and literature are examples of arts and humanities. Arts and

humanities go far further than that (Besan, 2019). They have given the average person a greater

understanding of the past and how the world has changed over time. On the other side, arts and

humanities have assisted us in making judgments and reflecting on previous mistakes as well as

the fantastic things individuals have accomplished.

However, with the constant desire for new technology and creativity as an art form. The

global society has been in the forefront of paying close attention to improving human activity in

all commercial and household spheres. As a result, current generations are learning about these

topics (Besan, 2019). As a consequence, today's generations are developing the skill of critical

thinking as well as understanding how the world rotates around them, as well as the ability to

speak, read, and reason in a simpler manner than in the past when capturing a detail was a

complicated ideology in a human nature. The art of invention has expanded and demonstrated

the potential that a human being possesses, for example, the capacity to travel to the moon.

As time passes, the art of technology improves in order to meet the demands of the world

and humanity (Besan, 2019). As a result, people are focusing more on the subject of science in
3

order to generate new inventions and creations to better their quality of life. Indeed, the arts have

the ability to improve people's quality of life. The existence of performing and visual arts is a

significant component that has aided in the perception of life's quality. Though science and math

are critical in the twenty-first century, humans should not overlook the relevance of the arts.

As a result of fast technological and scientific developments, as well as a growing desire

for modernization, a larger emphasis on arithmetic, computing, architecture, and engineering

degrees and jobs is required (Besan, 2019). Between 2009 and 2013, the percentage of students

graduating with scientific and engineering degrees increased due to advances in technology and

other breakthroughs in sectors critical to human everyday activities.

Influence of Humanity to Art

The majority of college and university students major in subjects relating to business,

science, and math. The apparent explanation is that they feel they will have a greater opportunity

to explore their potential in the world of art as human when they graduate from their university

degree in the future (Elbaek, 2012). Students and scientists in the field are genuinely impacting

society via the application of information gained in research centers as well as through

experience and the needs of the environment as well as home tasks rather than their own

interests, though there are some exceptions. The implementation of numerous Artstics projects

has guaranteed jobs to many people, suggesting that arts and humanities are tied to each and

every one of us and that we should all be aware of this.

Given the prevalence of arts-focused universities and colleges Learning about the arts has

been like knowing how the world came to be the way it is now (Elbaek, 2012). People have been

able to learn from both the mistakes made in the past and the amazing achievements that have
4

been accomplished. Arts have assisted mankind in gaining the capacity to remake prior

innovations that did not meet the requisite level that human beings expected.

The liberal education given by the humanities has not placed an emphasis on the subject

content; rather, it has placed an emphasis on the capacity to write, reason, read, and deal with

numerical data (Elbaek, 2012). People who wanted to enter the world of economics and business

had to recognize the significance of the arts. Understanding how their cultures function, what

other people value, and having some proficiency in their original languages all play important

roles in assisting this region's enterprises to work effectively across cultural borders. Personally,

I feel that we should not establish too sharp a distinction between the humanities and other

academic disciplines.

Due to their strong correlation to human existence, the humanities and arts are crucial

components of a liberal arts education. Humanities and arts help us build critical thinking

abilities, observe diverse lived perspectives, and learn how individuals from various

cultures value and live themselves (Elbaek, 2012). It expands our vision of society and life,

assisting us in dealing with everyday issues and bringing us closer together. Humanities and

arts are crucial to everyone; a generation without arts and humanities implies a society lacking

thinking, knowledge, and the ability to cope with problems in life as well as the individuals

around each other.
