“RESILIENCE”

Society is a hologram of chaos. People encounter and experience some adversity in

life that somehow brings chaos to their mind. However, Filipinos have this cultural belief that
anxiety and depression are nonexistent. And mental illness is something to be ashamed of.
Filipinos have this stigma that someone who goes with that kind of pace is just doing some of
their dramatic stunts. reason why mental health is given the least attention by the public
sector and the government.

The case of some suicides because of depression that makes their mental health
despair wasn’t that elevated before. Not until this pandemic started. Mental illness has
become the most common disability in our country. And the tragic news about some
teenagers who chose to end their lives spread like a wildfire. It wasn’t normal, but for them?
It became normal. The thought of killing their lives just like that was so alarming. They chose
to end the battle without actually ending it.

We don’t have any control over what is going to happen next. We don’t have the
power to see into the future to decide on the next move we should make to avoid difficulties.
But the resilience to avoid this kind of happening is a thing that we must remember.
Nourishing our minds with eating some healthy foods is a great thing we can do. And simply
doing some exercise is a simple yet effective way to avoid overthinking. Our mind is the
most important part of our body. It controls every action we intend to take.

So therefore, we should take responsibility for keeping our mind healthy. Reading
is also a good way to make our brain work and gain some more exercise on a high cognitive
level.
