Reflection On Marketing
From what I have learned in this class, I now understand that "marketing" describes the
efforts an organization makes to increase interest in and ultimately sales of its goods and
services. Advertising, sales, and distribution are all components of marketing. Affiliates conduct
some marketing for a firm. Throughout the entire unit, I understood that effective marketing
communicates the value of a product or service to potential customers, explaining why they
should choose it over alternatives (Lamb and McDaniel, 2020 pp25). Likewise, marketing aids in
lowering customer turnover by illuminating retention strategies that prevent dissatisfied clients
from defecting to rival businesses. During the last topic on marketing strategy, I was able to note
that when businesses have a strong marketing strategy, they promote sales resulting to high
revenue since it reaches to as many potential customers as possible. Strategic advertising may
catapult a company's success to new heights. The success of a company is dependent on the
company's ability to gain favorable brand recognition and attract a sizable consumer base (Kotler
et al., 2018 pp49). Effective marketing techniques may help firms develop trust among prospects
and consumers and generate goodwill toward their brand. It may all be achieved by developing
compelling material and spreading it on social media platforms, emails, or by establishing an
interactive website, and so on. Last but not least, marketing generates demand by enlightening
potential customers on the benefits of doing business with the company.
