Hose Cable Choker Restraints

Cable Choker Restraints significantly improve safety in high pressure hose

applications during a failure incident or accidental disconnection. This tested,
tagged, and easy-to-install device offers drastically higher burst ratings compared to
often misused air hose whip-check products.
Hose Cable chokers are designed for hose applications where a pressure rating beyond the hose whip checks is required. These
safety restraints can withstand several thousand pounds of pressure (dependent on cable and hose diameter). The unique design
utilizes a nylon spool at each loop-end that allows the cable choker to cinch tighter around an unchecked hose. This not only holds the
hose in place, but can also significantly decrease or stop flow completely until the pressure can be relieved at its source. Each cable
choker comes tagged from the factory with their fluid and gas (air) ratings. Due to the hazards and force of air and gas applications,
the maximum working pressure rating for these applications is reduced to half of the fluid rating. See below charts for pressure ratings
and test certificates.

Hose cable chokers range from 3/32 cable up to 1/2 inch thick cable, for a hose inside diameter range from 1/4 up to 8 inch (see
static load vs size chart below).

Custom cables can be fabricated to your specific application for increased pressure rating, abrasion resistance, or the connection of
varying sizes of hose.

Models are available for frac hose and other high pressure lay-flat discharge hose up to 12 inch hose inside diameter.

Quick release hooks can be provided in various sizes for operator ease of use in securing hose that needs to be disconnected
frequently.

* Hose diameter is required in order to appropriately build the loop ends to fit a specific hose size. These products do not adjust through the range listed.
*Static load is not PSI rating, and is only listed for reference
*GAS rating includes air and all compressible material, and is rated at 1/2 fluid rating

● Install choker cables with no slack, evenly centered between each hose assembly
● Ensure that anything being restrained to can withstand the same load rating
● When installing a hose to pipe or rail, ensure there is something to restrain against
● Never install with choker over the hose coupling or crimp sleeve, only against the hose itself
Applications involving additional end pull, corrosion, or other extreme installations should contact customer service for approprate restraint systems
