ACTIVITIES:
#3

PERFORMANCE TASK!
 Base on your understanding, why do you think is the
importance of having kitchen sections.
 Explain each.

 BUTCHERY
Meals prepared at home are enhanced by butchery. The meals you made for them
will always be anticipated by them. Home-cooked meals look impressive when they
are prepared with the proper meat cuts and cooking techniques.

GARDEMANGER
The Garde-Manger is a stepping stone to a more senior position in the brigade de
cuisine in some kitchens. But in some, it's a very respectable profession in and of
itself. The Garde-Manger is in charge of two of the most important aspects of the
dining experience because they are the first and last food contact points of a meal!

 PANTRY
Any good home cook needs a well-stocked pantry. Better meals, healthier bodies, and
less food waste can all result from learning how to properly store, prepare, and use the
ingredients we keep in our pantries. The majority of the food waste mentioned in the
last section occurs in our own homes. Any kitchen design may benefit greatly from
having a kitchen pantry. Without consideration for the location of the food storage, it is
impossible to design a functional kitchen. A bad design can result in a cluttered,
disorganized closet where spoiled food can go unnoticed for years.

 BAKERY AND CONFECTIONARY

In the village, bakers are still valued. On the occasion of her daughter's engagement,
the lady of the house is required to make sandwiches. For Christmas and other holidays,
cakes and bolinhas are a must-have. Therefore, the baker's furnace is still necessary for
the village.

 HOT RANGE
is the primary stovetop where hot foods are prepared. The baine marie counter is a
crucial component of the hot range. reducing the accumulation of excess odor in the
kitchen. - reducing smoke in the kitchen, especially if you burn food by accident. -
reducing the accumulation of grease from the air on the nearby cabinetry. - removing the
heat from the cooking equipment, burners, and elements from your face and body.

 GRILL
Cooking healthy meals on the grill while taking in the outdoors is a great idea.
Additionally, grilling can help you consume fewer calories and may even promote weight
loss. The excess fat melts and drips off the racks while grilling, even though it does not
completely remove all of the fat from the meat.

 VEGETABLE PREPARATION
to reduce the chances of food allergies and food poisoning. It's crucial to prepare and
store food in accordance with the appropriate temperature. Besides needing clothing
and a place to live, everyone needs food. For our bodies to work properly, we need food.
The food gives the body the nutrients it needs to survive and grow. The process of
preparing food entails obtaining it in its raw, natural state and cooking it to bring out its
flavors. It is crucial to properly prepare food because, when handled improperly, it can
turn into a breeding ground for microbes, or, as some have put it, a playground for them
to grow and ruin it.
 STILL ROOM
It is one of the crucial auxiliary areas in the hotel's food and beverage division. For the
service of meals, it provides food and beverages that are not provided by the kitchen. All
of the restaurant's hot and cold non-alcoholic beverage needs are fulfilled in the still
room.

SOUPSECTION
They give those who have resources a place to spread their blessings to those who are
most in need of them. It not only promotes charity but also strengthens ties within the
neighbourhood. As young and old, rich and poor, and all ages of people come together to
share a meal, it helps dissolve social barriers.
