Activity No. 1
Determine the strengths and weaknesses of every type of leadership styles? To what extent will
you choose any of these types of leadership styles?
Autocratic Leadership Style – is a type of leadership that is a type of management approach where
one leader or team member organization makes decisions on the company's behalf. The majority of the
time, this kind of leadership in organizations that are quite tiny and employ fewer people. This leadership
strength allows for swift decisions, especially in high-stress situations; it provides a clear chain of
command or oversight; and it functions effectively in situations requiring forceful, decisive leadership but
this leadership flaw discourages group input, harms morale and leads to resentment, and ignores or limits
creative solutions and expertise from subordinates.
Bureaucratic Leadership Style- is leadership based on fixed official duties within a hierarchical
structure
authority based on the application of a set of rules for management and decision-making This design of

Management style in companies that do not require employees to be creative or innovative.
Charismatic Leadership Style- The charm and persuasiveness of the leader are key components of the
charismatic leadership style. Leaders with charisma are motivated by their beliefs and dedication to their
mission. Because they have many traits in common, charismatic leaders are also occasionally referred to
as transformative leaders. Focus and audience are the key areas of distinction. While transformational
leaders concentrate on converting organizations into the leader's vision, charismatic leaders frequently aim
to improve the status quo. Its leadership strength are people are inspired to collaborate for a common goal
by charismatic leaders, organizations adhere to a primary mission in an effort to accomplish its purpose,
management places a high priority on learning from mistakes, because their employees have a clear
purpose, charismatic-led businesses tend to have more cohesive teams. Weaknesses of this leadership
are leaders could become conceited or haughty, destroying their prior good deeds, organizations may
depend on charismatic leaders and suffer if they leave their positions, leave the business or pass away
unexpectedly, sometimes charismatic leaders lose touch with their followers or supporters.These leaders
might fail to learn from their errors, which would make things worse. Charismatic leaders could assume
they are above the law and engage in unethical or financial misconduct.
Democratic leadership Style- Each team member is encouraged to participate in decision-making by
sharing their opinions under democratic leadership. A democratic leader encourages open dialogue and
assists their employees in setting goals, evaluating their own performance, and motivating them to grow.
Democratic leadership has greater innovation, multiple solutions generated, less absenteeism of
employees or members and also it has team cohesion. However decision making may slow down,
performance may falter, and leaders can be overwhelmed.

Activity No. 2
Explain why do people prefer democratic leaders better than any type of leadership style? Support
your answer.
- I think it is because democratic leaders might promote brainstorming sessions to get a variety of
ideas from the group. Innovative thinking, original approaches to solving problems, and original
solutions may result from this. Democratic leadership promotes participation. By definition, this
leadership style invites participation and involvement from those inside an organization who may not
otherwise be or feel represented. Democratic leadership promotes empowerment for team members.
Team members are given the impression that they are more significant through developing
sentiments of inclusion and involvement.
Activity No. 3
Identify which type of leadership style do you prefer? Explain your answer.
-For me I mostly prefer the democratic leadership style because this kind of leadership ensure the
participation of all the members of the organization or team which results to greater innovation, unique
problem-solving processes, and creative solutions.
Activity No. 4
Discuss leadership style that are effective for successful management and how those leadership
styles will help you as you lead and manage a unit, department, and organization in the future.
