 So the last basic shapes of mapping and notation is the pool and the lane.

 The Pools and the Lane both represents the scope of the role of the
performer in a process. So itong pool and lane na ito ay isang malaking
rectangle kung saan nakapaloob ang mga nauna ng shapes, gaya ng circle na
nagrerepresent ng event at ng mga rectangles, arrows at ng iba pang basic
shapes na nabanggit kanina.
 So unahin muna natin yung pool. Pool represents major participants in a
process, typically separating different departments.
 Kaya ang pool ay maaring mayroong isang lane lang o magkaroon ng
maraming lanes. Depende sa dami ng division of labor sa isang company.
 Then Lane Used to organise and categorise activities within a pool based sa
function or role ng gawain. It is depicted as a rectangle stretching the width
or height of the pool. Activties performed by the individual or a team will be
noted in the lane. So, Dito sa lane mismo makikita yung mga artifacts, flow
charts, or yung ibang basic shapes na diniscuss kanina.

So we have 2 examples dito, In Example Number 1, Accountant is the major

participants in the process. So meron syang sariling pool, at nakapaloob naman sa
lane ng accountant’s pool is the task of the accountant which is check for duplicate
invoice and request check payments.
In Number 2 naman, dahil magkaiba ang accountant sa company head, magkaiba
sila ng pool at ng lane. So sa lane ng company’s head is his/her task which is the
approval of a certain actions within the company.

Makikita natin na mayroong tatlong pool at tatlong lane. Makikita din natin na sa
loob ng bawat lane yung mga pinagsama samang basic shapes na tinalakay kanina.
