Investment Banking Analyst Program - Off-Cycle Internship 2023

Dear JPMorgan Chase & Co

My name is Jef Dhondt and I am currently enrolled in my master finance and risk at the University of Ghent
whilst working at LYNX as a stock market writer. I have always regarded JPMorgan Chase & Co as the top of
the food chain in investment banking, that is why I am ecstatic about the opportunity as an investment banking
intern. I have enclosed my resume and background information below. I am ready to further develop my
valuation skills and start a career in investment banking.

In my first year at university, I started combining my study with work alongside other extracurricular activities.
This enabled me to become familiar with the work pressure and hours in investment banking. While working
and studying I learned to analyze companies, economic events, and different strategies and translate them into
an engaging article. However, the analyses were too superficial, so I started studying valuation, LBO’s, and
M&A’s. I have also led 2 student investment clubs where I learned to be proactive and take charge. We hosted
lectures and events where I became very comfortable speaking before a large audience. Leading and working
together with a team of like-minded people made me an incredible team player. Furthermore, I practice and
teach Judo. When I fought competitive, I learned to discipline myself and control my emotions.

My summer is dedicated to studying the “Investment Banking” and other study material from Rosenbaum and
Pearl. This ensures that I will bring my A-game to the investment banking internship. I am sure I will be a great
addition to the team, both for ambition, knowledge, and fun.
