We launched Internship Experience UK last year in response to the employment challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing together
top employers and educational institutions with the student and graduate population to have a lasting impact on their future careers.

I’m thrilled that you’ve decided to join us for our 2021 experience. There’s no doubt that these are still challenging times for young people
looking to enter the job market, and this will be an excellent opportunity for you to show your continued proactivity and ambition.

This is an exciting time to embark on a within Investment Banking and Asset Management. We hope this three-day internship
experience will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to launch your career in this exciting sector.

What is Investment Banking?
The principal role of an investment bank is to channel money from savers
to borrowers, from those who have surplus capital to those who require it
to finance trade or expand their business. In short, investment banking is
about buying, selling, dividing, and combining companies or entities.

banks’ long history. At the same time, depending on the route you take, you’ll also
be able to obtain a professional qualification as you advance in your career.

3. Salary and benefits


The average starting salary for a graduate in Investment Banking
is £45,000 – double the graduate average. Big banks usually
offer a wealth of other benefits including private health care,
subsidised insurance, travel, food and gym memberships.
