This manual contains the installation procedure of the LPi Diagnostic Tool. It is Windows
based software. The software communicates with the LPi system through the LPi
diagnostic key that is delivered with the Toolkit. You can use either the serial or the USB
port. USB is supported as from Windows 98 SP2, however this installation will only run as
from Windows 2000 and further on. In this manual you will find the installation
procedure.

Put the CD in the CD/DVD drive of your computer and start the installation:
 For English choose “LPi Diagnostic Tool EN.msi“
 For Dutch choose “LPi Diagnostic Tool NL.msi“
 For German choose “LPi Diagnostic Tool DE.msi“

The installation starts with a Welcome screen. Press [Next] to proceed.

Accept this License Agreement to proceed the installation. Installation will not proceed
when you do not accept the terms in this EULA. Press [Next] to proceed.

Put in your username and company name. This is just for later reference, this does not
have any impact on the software application itself. Press [Next] to proceed.

You can choose for a <Complete> or <Custom> installation. They are almost the same;
however, with the custom installation you can choose the location where to install your
software. For not experienced users always use the default setup type which is
<Complete>. Press [Next] to proceed.

And for experienced users the <Custom> installation. Press [Next] to proceed.

In this screen you can change the install location if necessary. Be careful with this,
support will automatically assume that you will have used the default location during
installation. If this is not the case when you contact support, notify them that you
installed the software to another location on your disk.

After the installation location press [Next] to proceed.

Press [Install] to proceed.

If U(ser) A(ccount) C(ontrol) –on Windows Vista and Windows 7-- is not switched of, it is
quite possible that this notification appears on your screen. Press [Yes] to proceed.

Press [Finish] to complete your software installation.
