MRAMORFIX
Flexible white adhesive
MRAMORFIX is powder product based on hydraulic and polymer binders, mineral charges
and specific additives. It is used for laying marbles, granite, natural stone, ceramic tiles and
similar, indoor and outdoor. It is suitable for laying ceramic tiles on heating floors, and over-
tiling application on old tiles.
PROCEDURE OF APPLICATION
Substrate preparation
Prior to adhesive application, all substrates correctly aged (concrete at least two months
old, cement substrates at least one month old, etc.) must be prepared by dedusting,
mechanical removal of bumps and dirt. The substrate must be tight, clean, dry, cracks free,
free from parts easily removable, etc. Application to substrates such as wood, metal and
similar is not recommended.
When it comes to plastered surfaces, a relevant primer „PODLOGA C“, is to be previously
applied. The primer is diluted with water in ratio Podloga C : water = 1 : 3. For surfaces
such as smooth concrete and low absorption surfaces recommended is application of
Colorit’s primer “KVARCNA PODLOGA“. The substrates with mould and algae have to be
preliminary cleaned and coated with Colorit’s coat “ALGOSTOP“. Provided the normal
conditions (20 - 22°C, relative humidity 65%), drying time of “PODLOGA C“ is 5 to 6 hours
from the application, while of “KVARCNA PODLOGA“ is 24 hrs.
Product preparation
MRAMORFIX is applied using notched trowel and then tiles are laid by exerting an
adequate pressure for ensuring contact of a tile and glue of minimum 60% for indoor
ceramics and minimum 90% for outdoor ceramics.
In case of over-tiling, old tiles have to be thoroughly cleaned, slightly scratched (especially
if glazed) and then coated with “KVARCNA PODLOGA“. The new tiles are laid after 24
hours.
Avoid working in a direct sunlight and rain and windy weather conditions. Moreover, do not
work at temperatures below +5ºC or above +30ºC. In case a surface film is formed on the
adhesive, it is necessary to remove the same, re-apply a new adhesive layer and lay a tile
on such adhesive. Prior to laying marble or stone of light tones, a test is to be done for
checking if any changes in the colour of such marble or stone appear.
