Etiquette comes before seeking knowledge

In order to be successful on our course. It is important to keep in mind the
following etiquettes of seeking knowledge.
1. Intention: To reap beneficial knowledge it is important to attend every
class with the correct intention. Good intentions include:
• To seek Allah’s pleasure
• To act upon what I learn
• To preserve Shariah.
• To seek closeness to Allah
2. Respect: this covers many aspects of learning.
• We must sit in a respectful manner, mind- free, ready to reap the
knowledge from the teacher.
• Address the teachers with respect, using the terms mua’llimah or
ustadah.
• To follow all rules and guidelines and take this lesson as an amanah
from Allah.
• To be punctual and prepare for every lesson.

3. Asking Questions: Please ask urgent questions by raising your hand. It is

preferable to type your questions and send on the chat section. Questions
should be related to the topic.

4. Mobile phones: Please switch off mobile phones or any transmitting

devise. There is a strict policy of NO RECORDING. It is mandatory upon
all students to participate in every lesson using ear phones so that no
men can hear the voice of the teacher.

5. Dua: Make dua that through this course we are able to gain the true love
of Allah and His beloved messenger (peace be upon Him). Ameen.

‫َشء قَ ِد ْير‬
َْ ‫ك‬ ً َ َ ‫َال ّٰل ِّهُ َّم ا ْج َع ْل ِ ِْل ِ ِْف قَلْ ِ ِْب ن ُْو ًرا َو ب‬
ِّ ِ ُ ‫َصا َو فَهْ ًما َو ِعلْ ًما ِان ََّك عَ ّٰٰل‬
O Allah let my heart be filled with light & insight & understanding & knowledge.
Verily you control everything.

َ ‫اللَّهُ َّم َال َسهْ ًال ا ِّ َال َما َج َعل ِّ َته َسهْ ًال َو َأ َنت ََت َعل احل ََز َن ا َذا ِش‬
‫ئت َسهْ ًال‬
ِ ِ
Oh Allah! There is no ease except in that which You have made easy, and You make the difficulty,
if you wish, easy.

‫ُس ْب َحان ََك َال ِع ْ َْل لَ َنا ا َّال َما عَل َّ ْمتَ َنا ۖ ان ََّك َأ َنت الْ َع ِل ُمي الْ َح ِك ُمي‬
ِ ِ
Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is
the Knowing, the Wise. [2:32]

‫اللَّهُ َّم ا ِ ِّّن َأعُو ُذ ب َِك ِم ْن ِع ْْل َال ي َ ْن َف ُع َو ِم ْن قَلْب َال َ َْيشَ ُع َو ِم ْن ن َ ْفس‬

‫اب لَهَا‬ ُ ‫َال ت َ ْش َب ُع َو ِم ْن َد ْع َوة َال ي ُْس تَ َج‬
O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from the knowledge which does not benefit, from the heart that
does not entertain the fear (of Allah), from the soul that does not feel contented and the
supplication that is not responded. [Sahih Muslim]

‫َِس ِِل َأ ْمرِي َوا ْحلُ ْل ُع ْقدَ ًة ِ ِّمن ِل ِّ َس ِاّن ي َ ْف َقهُوا قَ ْو ِِل‬
ْ ِّ ِ ‫اْش ْح ِِل َصدْ ِري َوي‬
َ ْ ‫َر ِ ِّب‬
My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] And ease for me my task And untie the knot
from my tongue That they may understand my speech. [20:25-28]

‫رب ِزد ِّْن ِعلْ ًما‬

My Lord! Increase me in knowledge. [20:1]

 BENEFITS OF STUDYING TAJWEED

Aisha reported that The Messenger of Allah ‫صلى‬

‫هللا عليه وسلم‬said: The example of those who
recite the Quran and memorize it is that of one
who is with the ‘righteous and noble scribes’
(80:15); and the example of one who recites the
Quran with great difficulty is that of one who
receives a double reward. [Bukhari].

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of

Allah ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬said: Whoever recites
a letter from the Book of Allah, he will receive
one good deed as ten good deeds
like it. I do not say that alif-lam-meem is one
letter, but rather alif is a letter, lam is
a letter, and meem is a letter. [At-Tirmidhi]
