Pavilion Dance, Bournemouths national dance house, has a stunning location between the seafront and Lower Gardens. This summer were taking full advantage of that as therell be giant outdoor dance classes with live music, fantastic free performances on our terraces, Summer Schools and also our first birthday party. Come along with family and friends and join in the dance.

Join us every Friday evening during the summer holidays with our brand new Dancing Terraces. Giant outdoor free dance classes with sea views, great live music and a guaranteed good time for all ages and abilities.
(A great lead-up to the Fireworks on the Pier at 10pm!)

An alternative seaside walk, SEASAW is a trail of dance, performance and theatre snippets, inspired by what the sea and its shores mean to us. Perfect for all ages, look out for visually striking, humorous clues on a trail that evokes glimmers of the seasides glorious bygone days, forgotten myths and stories. Meet at Pavilion Dance and be taken on a walk, lasting approx. 70 mins. Please note there will not be any seating. Plus! Tilted Productions will lead a workshop for adults with some contemporary dance experience on Wed 20 Jul, 7pm 8.30pm.

Spend five days creating a fantastical brand new performance and learn some of the freshest dance in hip-hop, contemporary and musical theatre. Theres also the chance to act and sing some of the original famous songs and make up new routines to them.

Do you enjoy taking part in dance and performance? Work with dancers from Yael Flexers new company and perform alongside The Living Room Outdoors in the Town Square, as part of our 1st Birthday. Youll also choreograph a piece as a group with a dance artist, but ultimately create what you want!

From hip-hop to contemporary, local groups perform on our terraces as part of the Bournemouth Air Festival celebrations.

Kickass meets contemporary dance in this quirky outdoor performance with dead-pan wit. While donning superhero Lycra, dance artists explore the notion that dancers possess superpowers by allowing the audience to see the mind through the body. Both humorous and deadly serious.
