POLITICS OF PAKISTAN

& SCOPE FOR YOUTH

Pakistani politics revolves around the framework established by the 1973 constitution. The country
features a federal parliamentary political system with a considerably significant degree of autonomy
for the provincial governments. The national cabinet is granted executive authority and is led by the
Prime Minister (currently Shahbaz Sharif), selected and appointed for a 5 year time period, who
works systematically with the parliament and judiciary.
Pakistan is a multiparty democracy in which many political parties vie for seats in the National and
Provincial legislatures. However, with the fall of Dhaka in 1971, a two-party system was established
between the Peoples Party and the Muslim League. However, The popularity of centrist parties like
the PML-Q and the PTI has also skyrocketed.

In a country like Pakistan, there is always some sort of political upheaval going on, and every other
day, a new issue develops that shakes the already-disturbed country's politics. Over the past few
years, Pakistan has been plagued by significant political problems.. The issues faced by the
country are by far outweighed by the advancements made. The recent ouster of Prime Minister
Imran Khan sparked a major rebellion between PTI and other Pakistani political parties. In the wake
of this, Imran quickly made a move to dissolve the parliament, but the other parties approached the
Supreme Court, claiming that the deputy speaker's action was unconstitutional. So, due to
dwindling foreign currency reserves and inflation, Pakistan is currently on the verge of economic
catastrophe.

Right now, Pakistan desperately needs some reforms and changes in its politics, and we, as a
country, need to modernize our politics in order to combat emerging difficulties and avoid falling
behind. Though there is very little scope for the youth in politics owing to the high rates of
corruption and crime in the country, and political rules are rarely followed, we can change it if we all
stand together. The youth of today have a completely different perspective and mindset than those
who came before them, and it is only they who can bring about real change, but only if we all stand
with the people who are standing against our country's ills.

The country's youngsters, who are interested in politics and have competitiveness within them,
should be encouraged to participate in modest political activities from a young age, so that the
responsible adults of tomorrow know what really the country is going through in the country and
may politically stand against or with for the betterment without corruption and criminality.
