ARTICLE CRITIQUE

Distance learning has been more functional and severe after

covid-19 rise up COVID-19. COVID-19 sets limitation in every
sector. Distance learning refers to a learning delivery modality
where learning takes place between the teacher and the learners
who are geographically remote from each other during instruction
(Quinones, 2020). In the article “Distance learning struggle
continuous”. Kaithreen Cruz interviewed students who struggles, as
distance learning continuous. This article made significant results
that catch my attention as I agree to her updates.
Kaithreen Cruz (2021) use the sample of four (4) personally
interviewed persons and use SEQuRe’s result from the survey it
conducted to give a report about the said issue, as well as the
struggles that the distance learning give to the students, teachers,
also to the parents and guardians. The researcher collected
information of participants and analyze the result to her own
credible way.
She discussed an important topic as her article can be used to
improve the learning system and to generate possible ways to help
the participants with their struggles upon learning. The approach of
distance learning can be much more effective if this article was
read, analyze and given enough attention upon making solutions.
This article is a thumbs up for me since I understand her point of
view with her given proof and information to support her claim. The
given details made it more encouraging and truer about the topic.
Significant results were noted in the results of this study and
there is nothing to question about. It's sampling method was broad.
Out of 100%, 89% of families with enrolled school aged 5 to 20
years old members state the same claim. Specifically, 61% said it
had been much more difficult, 28% said that it was somewhat more
difficult, only 6% said it was easier and 3% said it was somewhat is
easier .
Another survey from SEQuRe resulted the majority of 1, 299
students that claimed to have learned less. To make it more
specific 86.7% of those doing modular-learning based on printed
modules said so . This was slightly lower at 74%. And 66%,
respectively among those studying under blended and purely online
systems said so.
Therefore, I can say that this article is credible for further
researches with connection to the topic discussed.
