“I Love Guinhangdan”

Analysis:
The painting shows contrast of light and dark colors. The artist creates
space by having the water and the swans in the painting. The artist shows
texture in the water. The elements of the art is present in the image.
Interpretation The swan at the water for me symbolizes the people going at the
resort. The heart shape made by the swans seems to be the feeling of the
people going for swimming.

Judgement:
For me, it is a succesful painting because the artist used different styles
to create the image. The use of the elements and principles of arts is present
in the image making the painting look good in the eye of the people.
“Station of the Cross”
Description:
The image shows 2 statue of a person. A woman who is looking at the
man lifting a large wood shaped like a cross reminding Jesus who lifts a cross
where He is being nailed at.
Analysis:
The images shows the proportion I am expecting it to be. The sculptures
were taller than my height that is shown in reality.
Interpretation:
For me, the sculpture is a religious symbolism of how Jesus Christ
suffers before he died and lived again. I think, it is created for us to remember
how did Jesus sacrificed Himself in order for us to be saved. It is for us to
remember to become good like what He wanted us to be so that Heis sacrifices
wouldn't be a waste.
Judgement:
The art is an image of succession. The artist enable to show what the
sculpture means and made use of tools and techniques well.
“Saint Joseph Sculpture”
Description:
This image shows the sculptured portrait of Saint Joseph together
with his baby son on the top of the made stand-like base.

Analysis:
This sculpture used colors like green, yellow and blue for Saint Joseph’s
clothes, black to his hair and white for his skin color as well as his son’s. The
eye, nose and other basic information of a man is placed in a particular way.
The sculpture's height looks the same as a realistic man height.

Interpretation:
This sculpture serves as the monument for Saint Joseph’s Parish Church
in Barugo, Leyte. This a great reminder that Barugo’s patron saint is Saint
Joseph. This is also another reminder that people of Barugo are religious and
God centered.

Judgement:
This is a successful sculpture because the use of the elements and
principles of arts were work together harmoniously to portray the mood of the
subject.
“Sanggutan Festival”

Description:
This image shows the art of Barugo. This is a festival dance with
music, making of costumes, wearing of make-up, props etc. just to make the
performance better. Sanggutan, the festival, is a dance of celebration. It is
dance of men (the managgetes) and women (their wives, sisters, daughters)
involved in the production of the red wine. It is also a dance of men and
women enjoying the spirit of this gift from, literally, up high. The costumes are
the everyday wear of the mananggete and his family, which is to say the
dominant color is red, because the tuba dyes everything and everyone that it
touches

Analysis:
This art uses different colors as it shows how colorful, realistic and
naturalistic the art can be.

Interpretation:
The Barugo Sanggutan Festival honors the age-old process of coconut
wine (tuba) making that has been and will always be a part of the life of the
Barugun-on,s. This is also another way to celebrate the continuous blessing
that God gave this farmers as well as the acknowledgement to our own
product made by our own peers.

Judgement:
This art is a big success since it uses the art principles to how it should
be used. It colorful and overall, a performance to be proud of.

“I Love Barugo”

Description:
This art is also a sculpture. This is a sculpture that spells “ I heart
Barugo” with the use of styles. This a standing sculpture near the road
Analysis:
This sculpture used colors like yellow, red, white and orange to spell out
the “I heart Barugo” quote. The “I” in the photo is the sculpture of the bamboo
used in gathering the tuba --- the significance product of Barugo. The ‘heart’
in photo is not a perfect heart and then it spells ‘barug’ with common style
and the ‘coconut’ as the ‘letter o’ of the word ‘Barugo’ since this the partner of
tuba in the tree

Interpretation:
This sculpture serves as the monument for Barugo, Leyte. This is also a
kind of declaration that the said place is called Barugo.

Judgement:
This is a successful sculpture because the use of the elements and principles
of arts were work together harmoniously to portray the mood of the subject
