waste, and ineffective data tracking due to the possibility of inconsistent data being

Web-based attendance system is a web-based system used to manage the
presence of students in a classroom. To implement it, the computer systems are
required to be equipped with a barcode reader. Web-based attendance system works in
steps. First, the lecturers have to scan the barcode which has been printed and owned
by each of them. Then, the system will automatically manage the schedules and the
rooms which have been entered into the system. After the lecturer scans the barcode as
its id, each student can report their attendance using the barcoded ID found on the
student ID card. When the class is finished, the lecturer needs to re-scan their barcode.
It is necessarily done to end the class on that schedule officially. (Mahendra Adhi

parents/guardians. This system will use MySQL for the database. The template of the
website will be built using HTML and CSS (Cascading StyleSheet) code. JavaScript will
be added to improve the use of the system. Students’ details will be stored in the
database. Also, it will contain the details of the teachers according to their subjects and
the classes they teach. The system will be responsive and can be used on mobile
phones. Also, the development of this project will be user-friendly by facilitating with
clear and understandable tabs. Hence, this website will be beneficial to institutes.
