Let’s say that you break your cell phone and need to buy a new one. How would you go about satisfying
this information?
What kind of factors would play into your decision-making process? (Think of things like alternative
choices, availability of what you want, quality of product, trends among school peers, etc. )
Do you think that your age, sex, class, education, etc. will affect what cell phone you buy? Why/why
not? (Think of things like what you intend to do with the phone, do you need specific apps or storage, do
you need a quality camera for work, etc.)
Think of some examples of branding that appeals to you (E.g., Nike, Obey, crooks & castles, Elmwood
Supply Co.). Why do you like it? Do you think that the marketers MADE you like it? Is it just everywhere
and hard to avoid? Do you like it because your friends like it? Etc.
