Priest: O God, who willed that your Word
should take on the reality of human flesh
in the womb of the Virgin Mary,
grant, we pray, that we, who confess our Redeemer to be God and man,
may merit to become partakers even in his divine nature.
Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.
All: Amen

Gospel:
**Homily**
**Creed**
The CREED is said. At the words and was incarnate all genuflect
Priest: Though the faithful obedience of the Blessed Virgin Mary, God takes
flesh among us. The mystery of the incarnation calls us to our loving
Father through the incarnate Son.
Priest: Father of the incarnate Word, we bring our intentions before you, the
fabric of our daily lives, made holy by your Son, our brother in the faith, who
lives and reigns for ever and ever.
All: Amen
(Offertory song)
Priest: Pray, brethren (brothers and sisters), that my sacrifice and yours
may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father.
All: Amen.
Preface
Priest: The Lord be with you.
All: And with your spirit.
Priest: Lift up your hearts.
All: We lift them up to the Lord.
Priest: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
All: It is right and just.
Priest: It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
always and everywhere to give you thanks, Lord, holy Father,
almighty and eternal God, through Christ our Lord. For the
Virgin Mary heard with faith that the Christ was to be born
among men and for men’s sake
by the overshadowing power of the Holy Spirit. Lovingly she
bore him in her immaculate womb, that the promises to the
children of Israel might come about and the hope of nations be
accomplished beyond all telling.
Through him the host of Angels adores your majesty and rejoices
in your presence for ever. May our voices, we pray, join with

theirs in one chorus of exultant praise, as we acclaim:
------
C: Please kneel.
R: We proclaim your death O Lord, and profess Your resurrection until You come
again.
Communion Rite
Priest: At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
**Our Father**
**Lamb of God**
All: Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.
Have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.
Have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.
Grant us peace.
C: Please kneel.
All: Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof;
But only say The Word and my soul shall be healed.
For those who cannot receive communion, let us together pray the Act of Spiritual
Communion
7|Page April 1, 2022
My Jesus, I believe that You are in the Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things,
and I long for You in my soul. Since I cannot now receive You Sacramentally, come at
least spiritually into my heart. As though You have already come, I embrace You and
unite myself entirely to You; never permit me to be separated from You. Amen

C: (after all received communion) Please kneel. Prayer for Peace by Pope Francis -
Altogether
We have tried so many times and over so many years to resolve our conflicts by our
own powers and by the force of our arms. How many moments of hostility and
darkness have we experienced; how much blood has been shed; how many lives have
been shattered; how many hopes have been buried… But our efforts have been in
vain.
Now, Lord, come to our aid! Grant us peace, teach us peace; guide our steps in the
way of peace. Open our eyes and our hearts, and give us the courage to say: "Never
again war!"; "With war everything is lost". Instill in our hearts the courage to take
concrete steps to achieve peace.
Lord, God of Abraham, God of the Prophets, God of Love, you created us and you call
us to live as brothers and sisters. Give us the strength daily to be instruments of peace;
enable us to see everyone who crosses our path as our brother or sister. Make us
sensitive to the plea of our citizens who entreat us to turn our weapons of war into
implements of peace, our trepidation into confident trust, and our quarreling into
forgiveness.
Keep alive within us the flame of hope, so that with patience and perseverance we
may opt for dialogue and reconciliation. In this way may peace triumph at last, and
may the words "division", "hatred" and "war" be banished from the heart of every man
and woman. Lord, defuse the violence of our tongues and our hands. Renew our
hearts and minds, so that the word which always brings us together will be "brother",
and our way of life will always be that of: Shalom, Peace, Salaam! Amen.
All: Amen!
SOLEMN BLESSING
