Chapter 3146

The Dual Sovereign Pavilion was just a

seventh-grade clan in Chaos
Continent. Furthermore, Luther was
not even among the top disciples of
the clan.

Compared to Chris and Edward, he

was lacking behind.

With those two there, it was a pipe

dream for Luther to win the slaughter
gambit. The slaughter gambit was
unlike any of the other contests. If he
wanted to win, the nine other
participants needed to die. Only one
person would be able to survive.

If you lost, you died. But under such a

massive gulf in skill, Luther still
participated. That confused Jack.

There were two types of warriors who

took part in the slaughter of gambits.
The first were the daredevils who did
not care about putting their lives on
the line, the second was the warriors
with absolute confidence in their
skills. Furthermore, they needed to
see who the other participants were
before they joined.
If there were strong participants,
many warriors would choose to delay
their participation. After all, they
would die if they lost!

Normally, disciples from seventh-

grade clans, whether they were inner
disciples or chosen disciples, would
not participate in the slaughter of
gambits.

Disciples of seventh-grade clans were

definitely not in positions that were as
high as disciples of eighth-grade
clans, but they were still notable
existences in their respective
continents. As long as they put in the
effort, their future would still be
bright.

Hence, warriors like that usually

treasure their lives a lot. They would
not participate in such a dangerous
contest. Most importantly, Luther had
been the last participant.

He had clearly seen the nine other

participants and had heard the
discussion from the viewing area as
well. He knew of the other
participants, yet he still registered. If
he was not suicidal, then it meant that
he had his own plans and trump cards.

Jack felt like he was facing a logical

person, so he was curious as to what
was going through his mind.

After Luther heard Jack’s question, he

had a pleased smile on his face, "I
knew someone would ask that. Since
you’re about to die to my blade, I’ll be
merciful and tell you. I just
participated in the slaughter gambit to
improve my skills and win. I have that
confidence!"
As he said that, Luther seemed full of
confidence as if he was just a short
step away from winning. He seemed
confident that no one would be able to
stop him.

Jack raised an eyebrow, getting even

more curious. He never expected that
Luther would be that confident in
himself.

Did Luther not know how strong Chris

was?

It was not just Jack who was curious.

Even the spectators in the viewing
area found it strange after hearing
Luther’s words.

If Luther had said that he could

definitely kill Jack, that would make
sense. However, Luther had said that
he could win the slaughter gambit. His
tone sounded like he could kill the
rest of them at any moment.

It dumbfounded the spectators, "Isn’t

Luther too arrogant? Could he just be
saying all of that because he wants to
brag to Jack?"
"Probably not. Just think about where
they are right now. Luther was the
last participant to sign up. He knew
very well who the other participants
were."

"Yet, even with Chris from the Purple

Cloud Pavilion and Edward from the
Nimbus Alliance there, he still
registered without any hesitation! It
means that he’s immensely confident
in himself! Luther isn’t that bad of a
warrior either. He’s a chosen disciple
of the Dual Sovereign Pavilion, a
seventh-grade clan in White Marsh
Continent."
"Could he have some hidden trump
card?"

"I don’t think he does. Even if he does,

it would just disintegrate in front of
Chris!"

Chapter 3147

"Don’t give him too much credit, he

would only be more arrogant. If he
was that strong, he would at least be
in the top three of the Dual Sovereign
Pavilion."
"Yet, based on what I know, he’s
barely among the top fifteen chosen
disciples in his clan. Even if the
rankings were from half a year ago, I
doubt there would have been such a
drastic change. Even if his skills
improved rapidly, he’d still be among
the top ten chosen disciples at most.
Even at the top ten, it would still be a
massive gulf from Chris."

"Don’t forget, the Purple Cloud

Pavilion is at a higher level. On top of
that, Chris is in third place there! That
difference isn’t something that can be
overcome in half a year!"
A lot of them agreed with that view.

They felt like Luther was just

overconfident to the point of being
delusional thinking that he would be
able to win the slaughter gambit. The
way Luther spoke, it was as if he had
already beaten Chris!

When they heard all of that, they felt

like Luther was a joke!

Someone said loudly, "Didn’t this guy

see his odds before he entered the
isolated realm? Chris had one point
seven odds, while Luther’s is seven
point three. He’s only just a bit better
than Jack! How could he say he’ll be
able to win in the end?!"

"Are there any disciples from the Dual

Sovereign Pavilion here? Can you tell
me what’s wrong with Luther? Is there
something wrong with his head or
does he have delusions of grandeur?"

The viewing area was incredibly noisy

thanks to these discussions, but
silence was all there was at the
isolated space. Jack had remained
quiet after hearing Luther’s words.
Luther felt like Jack was being
incredibly amusing at that moment
and said, "Stop trying to speculate.
Just ask whatever you want to. I’m
feeling generous right now. I’ll answer
whatever you want!"

Jack laughed, feeling like the

situation was quite strange. However,
since Luther had said so, he would not
object.

He said straightforwardly, "Why are

you so confident? Do you think Chris
is no match for you? Edward as well?"
Luther put his chin up and said, "Yes!
The two of them are no match for me!"

Luther pulled out a white sword and a

black sword from his storage space as
he replied to Jack. He had one sword
in each hand.

"Do you see these swords? Let me

introduce them to you. The black
sword on my right is called the
Absolute Darkness Blade. The white
sword on my left is the Absolute Light
Blade! The technique I’m using is an
upper earth rank technique called the
Dual Absolutes. I’ve already reached
proficiency, and am only a step away
from perfection…"

The moment he said that Jack raised

an eyebrow in surprise.

Warriors who could practice an upper

earth rank technique were definitely
strong and talented. Upper earth rank
techniques were the pinnacle for most
warriors below sixty. After all,
ultimate god rank techniques were too
difficult.

Luther looked at the swords in his

hand and let out a strange smile, "Do
you know why I took part in this
slaughter gambit? It’s because only
this will make me stronger…"

"Only by threading the line between

life and death will I understand what
absolute light and darkness are! I’ve
already been tethered between life
and death countless times. It’s
precisely thanks to that that I’ve been
improving!"

Chapter 3148
Absolute light and darkness
represented the powers of life and
death.

To understand life and death, one had

to first feel it. Only by wandering
between the lines of life and death
would someone understand them
better. Only then would they be able
to master it even more.

Luther let out a laugh before he said,

"Chris and Edward are only so
arrogant because they’ve already
managed to master their upper earth
rank techniques to proficiency, and
are close to perfection…"
"They felt like no one other than them
could possibly master an upper earth
rank technique, let alone reach
proficiency or perfection! Their
thoughts are a joke. In my eyes,
they’re just ignorant fools!"

The more Luther spoke, the more

emotional he got.

He constantly thought about how

Chris and Edward looked down on
everyone else before they entered the
isolated space. Just thinking about
that, Luther was furious.
"Isn’t it just an upper earth rank
technique? Do they think they’re the
only ones who can learn them?
They’re a little more talented than I
am, but so what? With my own hard
work, I managed to be just as
accomplished as well…"

"This time, I‘ll be able to go even

higher with this slaughter gambit. As
long as I have a breakthrough, the two
of them are no match for me!"

As he said that, Luther’s veins were

bulging. His eyes threatened to pop
out of their sockets, and he was
practically shouting every word.

Jack raised an eyebrow.

Luther’s words answered all the

questions he had. Turns out, Luther
joined the slaughter gambit to improve
himself. He really did not regard Chris
and Edward as anything notable at all.
He felt like they were mere stepping
stones for him.

It was obvious how hard Luther had

worked to get to his level. The more
murderous and hungry one was, the
more accomplished one could be.
However, they would also be exposed
to even more danger comparatively.

It would be easy for them to fall into a

bad situation. For instance, Luther had
made an incredibly wrong decision at
that very moment.

After Luther shouted everything out,

he felt much better. Even if a
complete madman was standing in
front of him, at least he had an
audience.
Luther composed himself and pursed
his lips. He reverted to his calm
demeanor and sighed, "Alright, you
already know everything you should.
Now, I’ll give you two choices. Do you
want to die in front of me, or do you
want my help?"

Hearing that, Jack was amused. He

raised an eyebrow, not wanting to say
anymore.

Seeing that Jack was ignoring him,

Luther’s suppressed anger surfaced
again.
Luther snorted, "I was being too nice
to you! Since you refuse to accept my
kindness, don’t blame me for being
rude!"

After he said that, the blades in his

hand pointed right at Jack’s forehead.

Jack did not react too much at that,

but the spectators outside burst out in
an uproar.

"No wonder this guy is so confident,

he’s using an upper earth rank
technique! I was even wondering
before why Luther was participating in
this. Does he really not know the
dangers? Now it looks like this guy is
just daring. In order to improve
himself, he’s putting his life on the
line!"

Chapter 3149

"However, he won’t be as lucky this

time. So what if he uses the Dual
Absolutes? He’s still not a match for
Chris! As long as Luther faces Chris,
Luther will realize how dumb he is!"

After the person said that, someone

else rebutted, "That’s not certain.
Didn’t Luther say that he’s already
close to perfection?"

"As long as he goes through another

life or death experience, he’ll be able
to break through his limits and step
into the second stage! Chris and
Edward are definitely strong, but
they’re still using upper earth rank
techniques in the end… It’s just that
the two of them have reached higher
levels in their techniques. As long as
Luther catches up, he might really be
able to compete with Chris!"

The moment that was said, the

disciples of the Purple Cloud Pavilion
loudly shouted back, not allowing
anyone to doubt Chris at all. They felt
insulted that Chris was being
compared to a disciple of a seventh-
grade clan!

One of the inner disciples from the

Purple Cloud Pavilion stood up from
his chair and shouted at the earlier
warrior, "Can you think before you
speak?! Luther doesn’t even have the
right to be compared to Chris! In Chris’
eyes, he’s not even an appetizer! Do
you just believe everything he says?"

"I think this guy is probably just

bragging. He’s just trying to get some
praise from Jack! If he’s really that
strong, why isn‘t he even in the top
ten of the Dual Sovereign Pavilion?"

"Training himself through life and

death? That’s all just nonsense. He
might actually be able to learn from
being on the verge of death, but
there’s no way he can directly
advance a whole level…"

"Do you think it’s that easy to get from

proficiency to perfection?
Furthermore, he’s using an upper
earth rank technique! If it’s that easy
to level up, everyone would be a
chosen disciple of an eighth- grade
clan!"

After saying that, quite a few people

reacted.

They felt like the disciple from the

Purple Cloud Pavilion made sense.
Going through life or death
experiences can improve one’s
understanding and skill, but there is
no way it would allow one to jump a
whole level. However, there were
those with an opposing view as well.
A warrior from the Chaos continent
said loudly, "You’re right, but you’re
too biased! Didn’t Luther mention it
earlier? His accomplishments have all
come from brushes with death…"

"Since he’s already at proficiency and

close to perfection, he participated in
the slaughter gambit in hopes of
getting through this hurdle. As long as
he gets through the hurdle and
successfully perfects the Dual
Absolutes, then he might really be
able to stand up to Chris!"

When the inner disciple from the

Purple Cloud Pavilion heard that, he
suddenly shouted, "Nonsense! What
do you know?! Even if he gets to
perfection, there’s no way he’s worth
fighting Chris!"

"Chris is already at perfection, and

only a little away from complete
mastery. If he can make a
breakthrough, can’t Chris as well?!
Even if he passes the hurdle, he would
just be at the same level as Chris.
Chris has already been at this level for
a long time, so how could Chris lose?!"

Chapter 3150
Everyone listened on as they argued
nonstop. Many felt like both of them
had their own points, but there was no
absolute answer.

No matter how it was, they would

have to wait for Luther to truly face
Chris before they could get their
answer. However, the crowd was
inclined to believe that Luther would
not be able to beat Chris even if he
managed to get past the hurdle.

After all, they had just witnessed how

strong Chris was. Even after burning
up his blood essence, Blade was still
unable to harm a single hair on Chris.
Luther was skilled, but there was no
way he was that much stronger than
Blade who used his blood essence!

"Even if this was discussed for a

whole day, there’s no way to get a
conclusion before the actual results.
Jack’s the one facing Luther right
now! Why don’t we talk about them
first?!"

"There‘s nothing much to say about

them. Jack’s just an alchemist who
has his head screwed on wrong. Even
if Jack burned his blood essence ten
times, there’s no way he can face
Luther. There’s no reason to talk
about their match!"

"That’s right. Jack’s only good at

talking. How could he be a match for
Luther? Even if Luther was using a
middle earth rank technique, Jack
would not be able to beat him, let
alone an upper earth rank technique.
There’s no way Jack can beat him.
Let’s not even talk about beating him,
Jack would be skilled if he can even
surface three strikes from Luther!"

"But, if Jack dies in Luther’s hands,

Chris will definitely be furious. Chris is
hurrying over right now. If he
personally witnesses it, Chris would
definitely not let Luther off. He might
even attack Luther right away!"

The two in the isolated space could

not hear the discussions outside at
all.

At that moment, Luther was not

willing to waste any more time. He
wanted to cripple Jack first before
bringing him somewhere safe to be
properly tortured!
He laughed coldly and narrowed his
eyes. His hands constantly moved
with the two swords, shooting out
many slashes.

The Absolute Darkness Blade was

black as ink, while the Absolute Light
Blade glowed like it was reflecting the
sun. Two different energies were
constantly released by the blades, and
the slashes merely stopped in the air,
not rushing at Jack. Instead, they
slowly condensed together.

In just a few moments, the powers of

light and darkness merged into a
pentagram, appearing in front of
everyone!

After finishing that, Luther said

pridefully, "This is the power of
absolute light and darkness. Even if
it’s not truly life or death, it still has a
portion of its power. It comes from
pure light and pure darkness. When
both these powers intersect, they can
suppress everything!"

After hearing that, Jack’s lips

twitched as he said in exasperation,
"Do you think everyone’s an idiot? Can
you use your brain a bit even if you’re
trying to brag? Suppress everything?"
"If it was truly the power of life and
death, you might be able to do that.
The technique you’re using is only
harnessing a fraction of that power!
It’s very far from the true thing! With
your skills, you can’t even beat David,
let alone me!"

Luther felt like he was about to get

angered to death by Jack.

The guy kept on saying the exact

things that would anger him the most.
He wanted to rip Jack to shreds!
Luther widened his eyes and looked at
Jack with clenched teeth, "You say
I’m bragging, but aren’t you bragging
as well? Are you saying you’re far
stronger than David? David’s no match
for you?"

Jack acknowledged honestly, "That’s

exactly what I mean. He’s no match
for me at all. Even Chris is no match
for me!"

The moment he said that Luther’s lips

twitched speechlessly. He was
silently angry at the fact that he was
actually being calculative with a
madman.
From a madman’s perspective,
everything they said was logical. Yet,
Luther had still been infuriated by
Jack.

Chapter 3151

Luther snorted, and his expression

soured. "I don’t care if you’re a
madman; your end will always be
gruesome so long as you cross me…"

"You have nothing but your foul mouth

to blame. If you didn’t say so much,
things might have ended better for
you. I would’ve given you a quick,
painless death!"

Luther readied himself as his hands

quickly moved.

Waves of darkness and light

condensed in front of him.

He pushed forward, sending the image

right at Jack. The pentagram formed
of the powers of light and darkness
constantly spun in the air. As it flew
toward Jack, it absorbed the power of
light and darkness in the air!
Jack raised an eyebrow. Just looking
at the power of the pentagram, he
could tell that Luther was either
fourth or fifth in terms of power among
the ten of them. This explained why
he was this confident.

Alas, Luther was too naive. He

thought of others too simply and
thought too highly of himself.

Jack let out a short laugh, temporarily

discarding that thought. He had
foreseen Luther’s plans, after all.
He did not want to stay there for too
long as it would only attract too much
attention, having provoked a lot of
people.

These people wanted to kill him for

the sake of their dignity. Jack was
never afraid of facing anyone head-on,
but he was still worried that they
would come after him as a group.

Jack’s hands constantly moved as he

formed seal after seal that slowly
condensed in the air, turning into Soul
Swords.
Having complete mastery of
Destroying the Void, he did not hold
back to finish the battle quickly. A
hundred Soul Swords were formed in
the air. With a wave, the swords
condensed into one massive Soul
Sword. He pushed forward, and the
massive Soul Sword hurtled right
toward the pentagram.

Jack controlled the sword’s

trajectory, aiming at the lower left
corner to hit where the dark energy
was condensing. That was the portion
of the pentagram that was black.
He could feel dense soul energy at
that part, and he aimed to test what
would happen if soul energy clashed
against soul energy.

When Luther saw that the Soul Sword

was heading to where the power of
darkness was condensed, he found it
deeply amusing.

He shouted behind the pentagram,

"You should forget about your tricks.
The power of darkness and light can
interchange with each other. Don’t
think that you can destroy the whole
thing by just destroying a part and not
the whole! You can’t possibly counter
me!"

As he said that, the Soul Sword was

already right in front of the
pentagram, accurately piercing
through where the power of darkness
was gathered!

Chapter 3152

When the Soul Sword and the power of

darkness clashed, it caused no
shockwaves. Instead, it was like two
balls of flames clashing.
Since they were the same kind of
energy, they would absorb each other
instead of clashing.

Luther’s brow raised in shock at the

sight. Amid his confusion, he suddenly
felt a change.

He noticed that he had lost control of

part of the pentagram!

Feeling it further, he was surprised to

notice that the power of darkness had
actually fused into the Soul Sword
after they clashed, leaving the
pentagram. It was no longer in his
control!

The next second, Luther felt a chill in

his heart. Looking down, he noticed a
black energy sword pierced through
his chest.

After the darkness left the pentagram,

it fused into the Soul Sword, causing it
to solidify even more. The pentagram
had only been half a ureter away from
Luther. He never stood a chance in
avoiding it.
The pain of his soul being ripped apart
from his heart caused Luther’s whole
body to stiffen. His face started to
twist as he fell from the air.

Jack let out a slight laugh.

He never thought that Destroying the

Void would seize control of Luther’s
dark energy after clashing with it.

In the end, it was because the dark

energy and Destroying the Void were
from the same form of power, which
was the soul attribute. Nonetheless,
Destroying the Void’s power and grade
were far higher than the dark energy.

Destroying the Void was an upper

ultimate god rank technique, while
Dual Absolutes was only an upper
earth rank technique. The two
techniques were a whole level apart.
Against Destroying the Void, Luther’s
power was as insignificant as an ant.

Luther was in so much pain that he

spasmed on the ground vigorously;
Destroying the Void was slowly eating
away at his soul. The pain the soul
could feel was far greater than any
physical pain.
No matter how strong Luther’s will
was, it was insignificant against such
pain. At that moment, he had lost even
his most basic rationality. He
constantly rolled on the floor as
though seeking relief.

Try as he did, however, the pain of his

soul being torn apart did not cease.

At that moment, Luther did not look

like a chosen disciple from a seventh-
grade clan at all, looking more like a
common beggar seen on the streets.
His body was covered in dirt as he
spasmed pathetically.

Jack’s expression remained

unchanged at the sight. After all, he
had witnessed these scenes countless
times. However, the warriors at the
viewing area were not as calm as he
was.

When they saw the Soul Sword

piercing Luther’s heart, their
expressions stiffened. Their eyes
widened as disbelief overwhelmed
their features.
The sight of Luther dropping from the
air and writhing on the floor deeply
affected everyone there.

Everything had happened far too

quickly and suddenly. It was
completely different from the result
they were expecting. No one could
accept what happened that easily.

The crowd was completely silent.

Even their breathing had become
slower. The sight was far too
unbelievable!
After a while, someone stammered,
"Isn’t Jack an alchemist? Who said he
was an alchemist? Since when did
alchemists become so strong? He
dealt with Luther in one strike! Isn’t
Luther a chosen disciple of the Dual
Sovereign Pavilion?"

"Even if he isn’t among the top chosen

disciples, he’s still a chosen disciple
from a seventh-grade clan. How did
this happen? How did he lose without
a contest?!"

Chapter 3153
"You’re asking me? I have questions,
too. I’m wondering if I’m hallucinating
right now. Isn’t it all too absurd?!"

At that moment, the disciples from the

Dual Sovereign Pavilion all stood up
from their seats. They had heard all of
the discussions, but their disciples did
not participate, allowing others to say
what they wanted.

Luther had told his fellow disciples

before entering the slaughter gambit
not to say anything no matter what
they heard, hence their silence.
However, the abrupt turn of events
made them unable to retain their
composure.

They had seen Luther’s tragic scene,

which caused them to panic. They
wanted to rush into the isolated space
to save Luther. However, they knew
very well that it was just a pipe
dream.

They could not do anything outside,

nor were they able to. They were
forced to look on as Luther rolled on
the ground and cried out in agony.

At that rate, Luther could die!

An inner disciple from the Dual
Sovereign Pavilion shouted, "Liar!
Jack isn’t an alchemist! When did
alchemists become stronger than us
proper warriors?! He’s just been a wolf
in sheep’s clothing the whole time.
Who said he was an alchemist?!"

He was furious and reluctant to

accept it.

Various emotions were present in the

hearts of the disciples of the Dual
Sovereign Pavilion. They wanted to
rush into the crowd, pull out whoever
had said that Jack was an alchemist
power, and smack them senseless.

They wanted an explanation as to

what was happening!

Everyone in the viewing area had

complicated expressions on their
faces. After all, the result was too
absurd.

Jack’s odds were at seven point five,

the highest among everyone. It meant
that he was the weakest even in the
eyes of the caretakers. Furthermore,
everything he had said and done
before had been far too crazy. Even
though Jack viewed everything he had
done as normal retaliation, in the eyes
of the warriors in the viewing area, his
retaliation made no sense!

Disciples from high-grade clans did

not allow their honor and pride to be
challenged.

Everything that was happening caused

everyone there to think that Jack was
just a deranged weakling, yet that
weakling had shed the moniker in just
one strike.
How could anyone digest the change
so easily?

The change had been far too quick,

and they were not given any time to
prepare themselves before that
chance.

"I don’t think he’s an alchemist

either!"

"An alchemist can’t possibly be that

strong. They put most of their time
into mastering alchemy, so they
should have no time to train at all, so
their power should naturally be
weaker than ours!"

"That‘s right! It looks like he was just

faking it. No wonder he refused to
back down to anyone. He was actually
that strong. Luther was no match for
him at all; he couldn’t even stand up
to a single blow!"

"I feel like their exchange is too

strange. Jack let out that massive
gray blade. After it pierced into the
dark energy, it swallowed it up to
strengthen itself. It pierced into
Luther’s chest before he could react!
Luther had no chance to fight back!"
After that person said that, the
warriors around him asked curiously,
"You feel like Jack’s technique can
swallow dark energy?"

"That has to be it!" came the reply.

"Otherwise, why did both energies

fuse when they clashed?!"

"It looked like they fused, but how

could two techniques fuse together?
There’s only one reason that could
happen, both techniques use the same
energy. Thus, the stronger power
managed to swallow up the weaker
one, strengthening itself!"

Chapter 3154

That person’s eyes were sharp, and he

immediately saw through the one
most important aspect, two different
techniques should not be able to
merge.

The reason why Luther lost control of

the dark energy was exactly what that
person said, Destroying the Void was
too strong. After piercing through the
energy, Destroying the Void
swallowed it to strengthen itself!

The viewing area was filled with

fervent discussions. After all, they had
just witnessed something that
shattered what they had thought
before.

Compared to the intensity in the

viewing area, the betting area that
Rudy was at was much calmer. Of
course, the peace did not last that
long.
Evan was panting roughly as his whole
body quivered. It was not just Evan,
even the other disciples from the
Pentagram Clan behind him were all
breathing erratically.

Compared to the others, Rudy was

noticeably much calmer. He knew how
strong Jack was from the start, so
Luther challenging Jack amused him
to no end. Luther had even bragged
about how strong he was before.

After hearing all of that, Rudy almost

lost control and laughed on the spot.
Luther did not have much longer to
live at that point, and Rudy did not
even blink an eye!

Evan’s breaths grew labored. Even

Rudy, who was a few meters away
from him, could hear it.

Rudy turned and noticed Evan’s eyes

had reddened. His fists were clenched
tightly, and he looked like he had seen
a ghost. Rudy let out a cold laugh,
recalling what Evan had said to him
before.
Evan had said that he was an ignorant
fool and that Jack was a complete
madman. There had been insults
hurled at Rudy and Jack.

Rudy only had one thought in mind at

that moment, it was the perfect time
for some revenge.

He sneered as he quickly walked to

Evan. "Oh, what’s wrong? Have you
been poisoned? You look a little
breathless. Why do you look so bad?
Are you alright? Thankfully, I’m an
alchemist. If you need any pills, I can
sell them to you!"
The moment he said that, Evan almost
lost himself in anger.

Evan was no idiot, and he could tell

that Rudy had been mocking him.
Evan gritted his teeth and looked at
Rudy. He wanted to say something in
retaliation but found himself unable
to.

Rudy raised an eyebrow and said,

"With the grudges between Trevor and
Jack, Trevor must be frantically
searching for Jack right now. When he
finds Jack, he’ll definitely attack Jack
right away!"

"Trevor thinks that he’ll be able to kill

Jack incredibly easily with his skills,
so I’m really looking forward to them
meeting each other!"

Evan continued panting. His eyes

were threatening to pop out of their
sockets. If he had heard what Rudy
was saying before, he would have
rebuked Rudy since he trusted in
Trevor’s skills. However, he no longer
had that confidence.
Jack had dealt with Luther in one
strike, which meant that Jack was
stronger than most warriors. Even he
did not have the confidence that he
would beat Jack.

Trevor was stronger than himself but

not by a long shot. The chances of
Trevor beating Jack were not that
much higher.

Evan’s lips twitched, not wanting to

see Rudy acting so pleased with
himself at that moment.
He took a deep breath and said, "Stop
gloating. Trevor’s skills are stronger
than Luther! There’s no telling who’ll
win if he fights Jack!"

Rudy let out a laugh as though he

heard a joke. "Didn‘t you hear what
Luther said just now? He was using an
upper earth rank technique, and he
was only a step away from the second
level!"

Chapter 3155

"If I’m not mistaken, Trevor‘s probably

at around the same level as Luther.
Even if Trevor is stronger than Luther,
he’s that much stronger!"

Evan’s lips quivered. "I’m telling you

right now! Don’t underestimate Trevor!
I myself don’t know how strong Trevor
is right now. We haven‘t faced each
other for a while. He told me that he
has gotten quite a lot stronger since
he entered the Whirling World, and if
memory serves, he’s already passed
the hurdle and is now close to or at
perfection with his technique! If Jack
fights him, it should be an even
match!"
As he said that, his tone was
strangely firm as if he had already
seen the result.

Rudy was amused, raising an eyebrow

as he said, "There’s no point saying all
of that. Trevor might even be killed
before he even meets Jack. Who
knows?"

Evan was furious when he heard that

and half-shrieked, "Is speaking
nonsense your specialty?! I can
assure you that other than Chris and
Edward, no one can kill Trevor!"
Evan looked so emotional that it
looked like he could pass out at any
moment!

Rudy raised an eyebrow and laughed

slightly, saying, "Alright. Let’s wait
and see!"

***

Jack slowly walked toward Luther in

the isolated space, coldly staring as
he watched Luther writhing and rolling
about.
At that moment, he could feel that a
third of Luther’s soul had already been
consumed. Even if Jack stopped at
that moment, Luther would still die.

Jack raised his hand and stopped

Destroying the Void from eating
Luther’s soul, which allowed Luther to
finally regain his sanity.

He was panting weakly as the light in

his eyes slowly returned. After
regaining a bit of himself, he stared at
Jack’s calm face.
Luther felt his chest constrict, and he
spat out the blood in his mouth. He
started to twitch as his eyes were
filled with anger and hatred. "Who are
you?! "

Jack’s lips twitched helplessly. Many

had asked him that same question and
why he was ‘in a disguise.‘

He felt helpless. He clearly never

disguised himself, but none of them
believed him when he spoke the truth,
and they still questioned him in the
end.
Jack raised an eyebrow, starting to
think about his interactions with
Luther before entering the isolated
space.

After thinking about it, he found that

the two of them had not even
exchanged a look after Luther entered
the waiting area.

He sighed in exasperation, "We never

even butted heads before, yet you
came to me so ready to die. I tried to
stop you, but you left me with no
choice. You needed to die, anyway.
There’s no difference if you died to
someone else or in my hands…"
Luther had an intense fit of coughs as
his whole body shook.

After coughing for a long time, he

panted as he said, "I was too careless!
Your disguise was too perfect. I
thought that you were just a crazy
alchemist! If I’d known that you were
hiding your skills, I wouldn’t have lost
to you!"

After hearing that, Jack felt like it was

a complete joke. Even as his death
loomed near, Luther was still trying to
fool himself.
Jack calmly said, "Let’s not talk about
if I disguised myself for now. Let’s talk
about what would happen if you knew
my skills…"

"Actually, there’s no need to think

about it at all. You know very well that
no matter how much more you know,
you’re just too weak for there to be
any changes."
