Where I am at now compared to where I was is the realizations of how important your

relationships are with your team, how critical It is to maintain open communication between your client
and stakeholders. You also must keep open communication with your team. This course has helped me
to development of understanding how to communicate with my client and stakeholders and be open to
feedback from them.

In my original baseline assessment, I mentioned how I would use time management to make
me successful, which is exactly what I did on this project. I used active planning and critical thinking to
manage my time and met my client`s deadlines before it was even due. It also helped me prepare for
any contingencies that could/would happen, because let’s be realistic here, they will always happen.
Who knew Texas, where I live, would be hit with a blizzard, people lost power and water? I didn’t have
to worry about that though, because I used my active planning and worked ahead on my project. I didn’t
have a need for an extension on any of my project! I feel really proud of my time management skills and
how I was able to manage my project and finish it early. I work full time and I am a mom. I understand
the dedication it takes to complete projects like this, though it may not be easy, can be totally
exhausting, working at Starbucks and going to school and being a single mom, it can be done! As long as
you manage your time accordingly. My focus during this project was on meeting my client`s deadlines
and quality criteria requirements for a successful product.

Since I kept commination open with my client, I quickly realized only to “bother” my client
unless it was unavoidable. Questions about the product should all be answered within the quality
criteria my client requested at the beginning of the project. My client was trusting me and my skills to
produce a product that met the client`s quality criteria and their needs. If a question arose during the
project about speciation’s/ clarity on client’s expectations, I communicated with the client and received
clarification.

Learning about critical analysis helped me to compare it to real life scenarios. When you are a PM,
and a contingence occur you have to use critical thinking to solve the problem. Like a team member
being sick and having to help cover their shift or running out of product and having to find it and
someone to go get it. This course helped me by applying PM skills to my everyday life.

Learning about biases, just reinforces the fact that they do exist and majority of the time people
are unaware of their own biases. We have to be understanding and take everyone`s perception into
consideration and make the best decision for the product. I used my strengths in operations on this
product to achieve success. Being highly motivated for success, strong organizational skills also helped
me to achieve my product.
