The floor must be able to support the weight of the machine (see technical data table, point 1.5) The site must offer enough space to allow all the ma- noeuvres necessary for operating the machine, in- cluding maintenance ope- / rations. Fig. 5 shows the fixing diagram. There follows a list of the procedures for performing this operation: | a- Mark the position of the base and make the holes in the floor for housing the screw an- chors. b- Insert the stud bolts, securing them into the respective screw anchors. c- Secure the base with cap nuts. d- Insert the vibration-proof stoppers into the seats of the feet and position the machine on the base. e- Before securing the machine to the base with the blocking flange by screwing down the screws ref. 1, level the machine as described in point 4.3. Rubber stoppers — \ | \— Foor | 4.3 - Levelling the machine Before blocking the adjustable feet to the base, the machine mustbe _ levelled to ensure it is perfectly level during processing. This operation is illustrated In Fig. 6. After have completed the connection and before assembling the drum, you must check that the vertical shaft is rotating in the correct direction. Loosen the knobs ref. 1 fig. 7, remove the cover ref. 2 fig. 7 and inspect the shaft. Give a quick impulse to the electric motor.; the correct rotation direction is clockwise; if this is not the case, invert the phases of the motor electrical connection. DANGER - Perform this operation with extreme caution; there is the risk of danger for the operator's safety (shaft turning without any protection); itis therefore absolutely prohibited to wear loose clothing. Observe the precautions listed in chapter 2. Fig. 7 Print 03/00 ( Frautech SN 10-T { 4.5 - Assembling the drum | DANGER - For the disassembly and assembly operations on the machine of J the drum unit, a hoist (or lifting equipment) must be provided with an —_ade- = quate capacity for the weight to be lifted (for the weights of the drum unit, see fable at point 1.5 pg. 8). The drum unit is delivered separately and pre-assembled together with the supplied equi- pment; to assemble it onto the machine, it must be disassembled with the special keys pro- vided and then assembled onto the machine following the procedures described below. 4.5.1 - Disassembling the drum unit Position the drum unit in a suitable manoeuvring site; unscrew and remove the large ring that closes the drum (ref. 1 fig. 8) using the key ref. 2 fig. 8. The micrometric adjustments are performed with the taps; therefore, when instructed to open and close the tap, rotation of the tap handwheel must be performed a little at a time “For the adjustments described below, refer to figure 23. | 6.1 - Milk separating For this type of treatment, the tap ref. 3 must always be completely closed. After the product feed pump has been started, open the cream adjustment tap ref. 2, turning it anticlockwise, and check the pressure indicated on the gauge ref. 4 of the skimmed product. To obtain liquid cream, the pressure read on the gauge must be around 2-2.5 bar, obtained by closing the tap ref. 1 and opening the tap ref. 2 To obtain a thicker cream, the pressure read on the gauge must be less than that read pre- viously, obtained by opening tap ref. 1 and closing tap ref. 2. 6.2 - Whey separating For this type of treatment, the tap ref. 3 must be completely closed: After the product feed pump has been started, open the cream adjustment tap ref; 2, turing it anticlockwise, and check the pressure indicated on the gauge ref. 4 of the skimmed product: To obtain liquid cream, the pressure read on the gauge must be around 2-2. bar, obtained. by closing the tap ref. 1 and opening the tap ref. 2. At this point, reduce the pressure until milk no longer exits the curved drain-tap. On completing this adjustment, the machine is in a condition to perform clarifying. 6.4 - Standardising To perform this type of treatment, the three taps that make up the circuit must be used. The tap ref. 1 is used to check the working pressure that must always be kept at the maximum (2+2.2 bar) to avoid air being suctioned which could produce froth on the worked product. Tap ref. 2 is used to adjust output of the cream Tap ref. 3 is used to adjust standardising of the product and must be used together with the other two taps. Once the machine has been set at the above mentioned pressure using tap ref. 1 (2-2.5 bar), open the cream tap slightly and also the standardising tap in order to achieve the first adjustment. After the machine has been working for five minutes with this adjustment, analyse the milk to see whether the required results are being achieved. If not, the adjustment must be altered using the taps ref. 2 and ref. 3. If the product is too fatty, open the tap ref. 2 and close tap ref. 3; if the product is too thin, close the tap ref. 2 and open tap ref. 3. | Repeat the analysis to contro! the product on output. NB: to ensure constant standardising, it is extremely important that all the milk intro- duced into the machine has the same percentage of fat, otherwise the adjustment phases will always have to be repeated. Print 03/00 f Frautech SN 10-T 7 - Cleaning the machine At the end of the working phase, follow the last of the milk by introducing water at a tempe- rature of approx. 30°C and simultaneously screw down the valve ref. 1 fig. 23 by half a turn In this way, the machine will perform rinsing. If the machine is inserted in a pasteurisation system, before washing the machine, exclude the centrifugal machine from the washing circuit Stop the machine and wait until the drum is at a standstill, When you are absolutely certain that the drum is stationery, disassemble the circuit and the drum for washing, performing the previous instructions given at point 4.5.2 in reverse order. © After having disassembled the drum unit, immerse the pieces in tepid water and wash them with alkaline detergent. Where necessary, brush the parts. © Follow by liberally rinsing the various parts with clean water and leave them to dry be- fore reassembling onto the machine. Avoid using products containing chlorine unless these have been specifically produced for washing and sterilising milk-cheese production equipment If you do you use these products, follow the instructions given by the producer of the deter- gents extremely carefully and rinse thoroughly with clean water. NOTE: never use steel wool for brushing the drum parts. 25 di 44 Frautech SN 10-T 8 - Maintenance Pri To ensure the good working condition and safety of the machine over time, maintenance operations must be carried out as described below. disconnected and the drum is at a standstill. By routine maintenance, it is meant all those interventions that can be performed by the operator following the timings and methods described in this manual. By extraordinary maintenance, it is meant all those interventions for replacing parts that must be performed by specialised personnel. For these interventions, contact your retailer or the manufacturer who will despatch a spe- cialised technician. 8.1 - Routine maintenance The routine maintenance operations are divided into: = daily = periodical 8.1.1 - Daily maintenance At the end of every working day, wash with soda as described in chapter 7. 8.1.2 - Periodical maintenance Below is indicated the frequency of the periodical maintenance (in working hours) to be re- spected in order fo ensure prolonged machine efficiency. Then replace the cap. NB: This operation must be performed every time before the machine is started up (with the machine cold). Every 500 hours: Replace all the lubricating oil of the vertical shaft (approx. 3.5 litres). The oil used for re-topping must be the same as before (X ROLL EP 220) or comparative product (with the same characteristics - see enclosed tables).
