CHAPTER 4

CONCLUSIONS

Field Training Report (FTR) submission is a summary of SW

management that being implement at participants workplace. It is one of
compulsory item in the CePSWaM qualification process prior certification.

ABC is committed in complying to all operation related regulations.

CePSWaM certification process in managing SW is company’s effort in order
to comply with Section 49A, Environmental Quality Act 1974. Regarding
SW management, Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) regulations
2005 and some inputs from the attended seminar and workshop being
referred.

There are several limitations were identified during the extension of

CePSWaM course. The most critical limitation is time management in
compiling data and FTR preparation. There are a lot of efforts and time require
to spend during this stage. As the solution, participants are recommended to
create Gantt Chart and start updating the status and progress started from day
one till FTR submission.

As per current practices, the participants only submit FTR after

completion the course extension and there is risk that participants had gave
up the extension course and not submitting the FTR. I believe EiMAS have
the percentage of submitted FTR for each attended course.

I would propose in future the participants are require to send a feedback
regarding their FTR status and any limitation that may require EiMAS attention
in a specific duration and frequency. Hopefully by taking this initiative, the
percentage of CePSWaM certification completion can be improved and the
compliances to Environmental Quality (Scheduled Waste) Regulations
2005 are at acceptable levels.
