Animal (dog) acupuncture

My friend had a dog. Its jaw got locked and then he could not eat anything. Due to
starvation he became very thin. It used to cry at the site of the food. The animal doctor
was called and it was given some medication including some steroids. There was no
result. So the medication was stopped. My friend brought the dog to my clinic.

Diagnosis
After enquiring as to when and how did this happen, I was told that the owner had beaten
the dog on his mouth as it was barking very loudly without a known cause. Then it
developed the symptoms. There was an Inflammation of the TM joint.

Treatment
This was my first case of an animal acupuncture. I talked to the dog as if it was a human
being and consoled it that I would not harm it. I then puncture points ST4, ST36 DU20,
and GB34 just with approximation. I did this for ten days. There was not much of a
difference in its condition. However I put two ribbons in the dog’s mouth and then tried
to pull the jaw apart very gently. It worked a bit and then it could eat some biscuits and
drink some milk. I was then afraid of the dog. I asked my friend to continue with the
medicines and then like a miracle the medicines worked in just two to three days. The
dog was cured.
