1) The supply ductwork for an office space is shown in figure 1 . Size the duct work by the
equal friction factor method and calculate the pressure drop and calculate the power of
fan (assume the efficiency of the fan = 70 % .

2) The duct system , shown in figure 2 is supplied by a roof top unit , The ducts are to be
rectangular cross section and the maximum velocity in the main run is 5 m/s
Size the ducts using the equal friction method . and Show the location of any required
dampers .
