Feedback from Janie Brokenicky after my lesson plan on 9/28:

NOTES

In the warm-up, you played piano in the "basement octave" to give pitches, which is why a few
young bases started there. First time, didn't provide the "treble octave" so girls were unsure
which to sing in. 

Love the function chorale! When introducing something COMPLETELY new, always budget
more time than you think it will take. 

**I should’ve showed them a diagram of the numbers to solfege before throwing them into
reading it. We talked about this after my lesson**

Emerald Stream....wonderful pacing, students stayed engaged and were very receptive. 
Be REALLY careful when saying "reach a climax" to high school students...the back row was
snickering like crazy. I tried to say "this is the climactic point" or something like that to avoid the
obvious reference, LOL.
