During the class ma’am Jenny mentioned about three topics, first is the
Historical and Legal Bases of NSTP. Stated there is Republic Act 9163 or The
NSTP Law which is an act establishing National Service Training Program or
NSTP for tertiary level students. I thought there where only two programs in
NSTP but during the lesson there were three program which is Reserve
Officer Training Corps or ROTC and it is a program designed to provide
military training to tertiary level of students. Next is Literacy Training Service
or LTS and this program is designed to train students to became a teacher of
literacy and numeracy to children of outside the school which need of their
service. Next is Civic Welfare Training Service or CWTS and this program
refers to the activities contributor for the general welfare and the betterment of
life.
The next topic is Philippine Constitution Article III or also known as the Bill of
Rights. Under section 1 we all have a right to live on or own lives as long as
we do not affect other people of our doings.Under section 2 people in
authority cannot arrest without a warrant of arrest. Under section 3 people in
authority cannot open or read any single private file we have. Under section 4
we can create our own groups and we all have freedom of speech. Under
section 5 we all have to respect each others religion of beliefs. Under Section
6 we have a right to change homes or travel other countries or some areas. In
Section 7 we all have a right analyze or fact check records of the government
concerning about the public. All of these sections after hearing is the most
appealing for me because all are stated that we all have a right to know and
do within the accordance of the law.
Next is topic is united Nations Principles on Human Rights there are basic
principles of human rights. First off all human rights belong to all race, color,
blood type, gender, religion, families. Human rights includes the right to
personal liberty and due process of law. These laws prohibit practices such as
torture, slavery, summary execution without trial.
