HOME HEALTH CARE QUESTIONS.

1. What are some advantages of home health care for functional rehabilitation and
health maintenance?
- Based on the video that we have watched, the advantages are it can help
geriatric patients to have a good health service in one setting, it can deliver
holistic and compassionate care, it can help elder patients especially the
poorest of the poor. This home health care has a great impact in the
development and maintenance of health of most of the geriatric patients.

2. Who are the main recipients and how they are paid for?
- The recipients of home health care are the geriatric patients. They are the
priority of this institution where they received good health services coming
from specialized nurses. Based on the video that we have watched; they
didn’t pay for the services they received. It is a program of the government for
older people that’s why patients in the home health care didn’t pay.

3. Given the kind of funding available. What are some important limitations with
regards to the kind of occupational therapy goals and intervention can be
provided?
- I think the limitations are they should only accept patients with severe
disability and those who are poor that they can’t even feed themselves. Home
health care cannot accommodate many patients if they accept all of them.
They need proof and identification that they are really qualifies to be in the
home health care. Since the fund is coming to the government, they should
use it properly and the only goal is to provide the needs of patients to
maintain their health and well-being.

4. What ethical issues are important in-home health care?

- Ethical considerations in home health care includes fairness of treatment of
each patient, put priority to those patients with severe conditions, always
provide holistic and compassionate care, and lasty speak to them with low,
sweet, and friendly voice so that they will trust you more and talk more about
what they felt.
