UPDATES ON THE CONDUCT OF THE 2022
DISTRICT SECONDARY SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE
. For the information and guidance of all concerned, attached is the list of the
updated schedules and judges for the 2022 District Secondary Schools Press
Conference.
. The changes are made in view of the Regional Memorandum No. 760, s.
2022 which reiterates the provisions in Memorandum No. 2022-058 which
states that “activities such as, but not limited to, academic and non-
academic competitions... shall be allowed on the condition that they will be
held outside class hours, on weekends, or during school breaks” to avoid
disruption of classes.
. Relative to this, the Schools Division Office of Quezon City, in coordination
with the Quezon City Secondary School Paper Advisers Association
(QCSSPAA), will now hold the 2022 District Secondary Schools Press
Conference on the following dates: December 3, 8, 10, 2022 and January 7,
14, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
. This memorandum will now supersede the Division Memorandum No. 871,
s. 2022 titled District Secondary Schools Press Conference 2022.
. The conduct of the district press conference aims to:
a.) strengthen and upgrade the students’ journalistic competencies after the
2-year hiatus from the face-to-face press conferences.
b,) intensify the motivation of school paper advisers to develop and take
quality work;
c.) prepare the campus journalists and the school paper advisers for the
forthcoming National Schools Press Conference;
d.) encourage students to participate for the great experience of enhancing
social and emotional learning and strengthening their academic self-
concept; and
