BONSAI

Edith Tiempo

Edith L. Tiempo wrote a poem entitled Bonsai. The poem as a whole emphasizes
the benefits of owning simple things. It offers a strong image of how significant things
can be kept simple, such as folding it and storing it in a box. She believed that
everything could be made smaller.

The poem's first stanza stated that everything she loves can be folded, stored in
a box, or even placed in a hollow post or shoe. It clearly shows that small items can be
kept effortlessly, even in a difficult type of location.

The second stanza discusses items that can be easier to store. She folds it in a
split second and for the duration. The author likes to keep everything in a smaller form.

The third stanza gives the impression of objects being hand-sized. Because you
grasped a hand size item, it generates total sublimation for the moment. It provides a
comforting sense due to the author's heart's admiration.

"And life and love are real," as stated in the fourth stanza, represents the
existence of life and love. Especially for objects that can be held in hand size and offer
those who adore such things a breathless sense, and even small things can have
meaning.
