Grade: PE 10 Unit: Disc Golf Date: Thursday September 29, 2022 Class: 3/5
Rationale Due to the nice weather, we will be going outside and playing disc golf.
The town just installed 3 baskets in our field, and we have 3 more- meaning we have 6
total “holes” we can set up and arrange
Throughout the unit, students will be playing frisbee games like disc golf, and ultimate
frisbee, and to end the week, we are doing frisbee golf- but keeping our scores this time.
General A- Students will acquire skills through a variety of developmentally appropriate movement
Outcomes activities; dance, games, types of gymnastics, individual activities and activities in an
alternative environment; e.g., aquatics and outdoor pursuits.
B- Students will understand, experience and appreciate the health benefits that result from
physical activity.
Learning Students will apply and refine locomotor skills and concepts such as throwing a disc.
Objectives
Students will apply and refine manipulative skills and concepts.
Students will clarify the positive benefits that occur as a result of participation in physical
activity
Students will demonstrate examples of strong communication, fair play, leadership, and
teamwork, when participating in the phys ed class.
Students will demonstrate effort and commitment to the class, as well as an overall active
lifestyle
Students will follow safety procedures, follow rules, and apply appropriate routines to the
activity they are participating in.

- Discs- we have 15 total sets - All students must wear proper attire and
- Pylons to mark starting location footwear.
- 3 baskets from shed - Keep head up
- Scorecards (8 max) - Ensure the field is clear of debris or hazards.
- Be aware of people and surroundings
Reflection
This lesson worked so smoothly because I was prepared in advance. I had golf score cards printed out,
I had previously set up the baskets and cones for the course, and I was able to break things down and
describe them to the students so they were clear on what they needed to accomplish.
