Organizational culture plays an important role in encouraging the development of the
company. The importance of organizational culture stems from its influence on the company and
the results of the company's business. In recent years, Alibaba has become a representative
company promoting the adoption of organizational culture. For a long time, Alibaba's
development and success has been inseparable from the culture and values of the organization
that it has put into practice. Alibaba, as the leading Internet business services platform in China
and even in the world, has been closely reinforcing its own connotation construction around its
own organizational culture since the day of its creation. This has an invaluable effect on the
growth of enterprises and improvement of competitiveness. The organizational culture
formulated by Alibaba also fully uses the characteristics of organizational culture. Each
distinctive feature of the characteristics of organizational culture can be found in Alibaba's
organizational cultural values. Especially the influence of organizational culture on company
innovation, teamwork and competitiveness. Furthermore, Alibaba has also realized the
construction of an organizational culture model. From the top tier, Observable Artifacts, Alibaba
reveals its cultural products to employees and customers through several "external features". For
the company's Espoused Values, Alibaba's organizational culture values have also become the
company's strategic goals and philosophy. Under the guidance of organizational cultural values,
Alibaba employees further enhance their personal business level and attitude to life. It also
proves that Alibaba has embodied the lowest level - the Basic Assumptions of the organizational
culture model. The core or essence of organizational culture is rooted in the minds of employees,
which makes Alibaba's organizational cultural values play a guiding role in employees' lives.
