Design elements for cloud

implementation
PRESENTED BY: ZAINAB FAYAZ

INTRODUCTION: It is the use of remote server on the internet to store, process and manage the data
rather than local servers. The advent of cloud computing and the continuing movement toward
software as a service (SaaS) paradigm has posed an increasing need for assured information sharing
(AIS) as a service in the cloud. The urgency of this need has been voiced as recently as April 2011 by
NSA CIO Lonny Anderson in describing the agency’s focus on a “cloud-centric” approach to
information sharing with other agencies. Likewise, the DoD has been embracing cloud computing
paradigms to more efficiently, economically, flexibly, and scalably meet its vision of “delivering the
power of information to ensure mission success through an agile enterprise with freedom of
manoeuvrability across the information environment, therefore, have a tremendous need for
effective AIS technologies and tools for cloud environments

BENEFITS OF CLOUD COMPUTING:

CLOUD COMPUTING ARCHITECTURE
Primarily there are two components Front end and Back end

FRONT END: it provides applications and interface that are required for cloud-based services. The
website we deploy are the applications. It also includes clients and mobile. Front end cloud interface
consist of software and hardware components.
Like data storage, server etc

BACK END: it manages all the program that run the application on front end. It has a large number of
data storage system and servers.
DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF CLOUD : To share the large amounts of data securely and
efficiently, there clearly needs to be a seamless integration of the policy and data managers in the
cloud. Therefore, in order to satisfy the cloud-centric AIS needs of the DoD and NSA, we need (i) a
cloud-resident policy manager that enforces information sharing policies expressed in a semantically
rich language, and (ii) a cloud-resident data manager that securely stores and retrieves data and
seamlessly integrates with the policy manager.
