DISCUSS RURAL DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC THAT HAS BEEN USED IN KENYA

FROM 1963 TO 2022.

- The policy of the rural decentralization was soon after independence adapted as a
fundamental policy for rural development in Kenya.

Income
Employment
Education
Social services.
1. Harambee strategic
Organization of rural committees for participating in development is a critical need in many third
world. Harambee in three districts in Kenya for quality issues. Data from six locations represent
Kenya’s small holders in various economic and demographic circumstances suggest that
harambee projects provide important benefits across social economic state within communities
while increasing regional and ethics differentiation.

2. District development.
Is the government policy that most of development effort will be directed towards rural areas
where most of the national problems such as poverty are most applied. Therefore the government
ought to have approach to development of rural areas. Rural settlement pattern and provision of
government services such as water, schools, health services, road and electronic. These services
channel into the rural areas to benefit and the majority of rural people areas. Fits the majority of
people in the rural area.

People participate in the development in their sufficient institutions for people mobilize to
participate what is the level of rural development.

3. Development strategic.
Under the area of development strategic emphasis has been put upon the development of
backward region, this strategic assume that the growth center have a geographical speed effect
that the region which area defined in term resource or infrastructure i.e. needs to be adequate
development. The major problem that has been formulated under the strategic is prone areas
program (DPAP). Therefore it is vital to implement measures and formulate focus upon
development of tribal areas in order to generate the desired outcome.
