a. As Faustino retired from military service on November 12, 2021, in adherence to Republic
Act 6975 banning the appointment of retired military officers for a year, he will first serve as a
senior undersecretary and officer-in-charge of the Department of National Defense
beginning June 30, 2022.[7]
