The main demands for this scenario I think are pretty clear cut. They are the
Paralinguistic demands such as the cars going by(would that count because the noise was
distracting?), one of the speakers' accents that poked through, or the two different times where
either the speaker or the student who was commenting wasn’t heard properly. I would say the
main one of these demands altogether would have been the two times where either the speaker or
student wasn’t understood. Those were the biggest to deal with in terms of understanding.
What ethical issues could be present in interpreting in this setting and situation?
I am not exactly sure about what could be ethically present in this situation. Possibly I
might struggle to keep the message strictly what is there without including my own noticings or
knowledge.
What participant values do you think would be at play if interpreting in this setting and situation?
The main value that I think a lot of that could be at play include the audiences need to be
seen as effective communicators and that they are wanting to improve people’s perception of
them in this manner(Because they signed up for a seminar to improve their use and receptive
what tenets and illustrative behaviors from the CPC. should be especially considered (areas of
assumption about a message might leak into my work and change the interpretation form the
initial message.
What intrapersonal demands arise for you in imagining interpreting in this setting and situation?
There wasn’t a whole lot for me to have to worry about when it came to this setting. I was
comfortable and excited to engage in discussion surrounding this topic. I even have experience
with this and so it was nice to hear how other people break down public figures and their body
language. Possibly my overeagerness might make it distracting for myself who is there to

In what ways/situations would you be a fit to interpret in this case and in what ways/situations
I learned that this would be an interesting setting to interpret in. I was engaged by the
topic, understood the concepts, and was able to follow what was said. I think I would be a great
fit because this is an interest of mine but my enthusiasm might also be a hindrance as I got
