TOPIC 5:

AIR
POLLUTION
NARANJO, VIELE ANTONETTE C.
IN TERMS OF AIR POLLUTION, WHAT
ARE THE EFFECTS OF CUTTING
DOWN TREES IN AN AREA?

The ability of trees to reduce pollution

is lost when large tracts of trees are
cut down, releasing atmospherically
stored carbon dioxide. 15% of all
greenhouse gas emissions worldwide
are a result of deforestation. The risk of
forest fires is also increased by
deforestation.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN SOURCES OF AIR POLLUTION
IN YOUR HOUSE (NAME 2)? WHAT ARE THE
MEASURES YOU WILL DO TO REDUCE THE RELEASE
OF THESE POLLUTANTS?
Fuel-burning combustion appliances and products for
household cleaning and maintenance, personal care, or
hobbies are the two (2) main sources of air pollution that
can be found in my house. First, since we can't stop using
fuel-burning combustion appliances or simply known as
space heaters, ranges, ovens, stoves, furnaces, fireplaces,
water heaters, and clothes dryers, measures to be taken to
lessen air pollution will be lessening the usage of these
appliances as well as use these appliances enough time
and do not use them for fun. Next, as for the products we
use in our household for cleaning and maintenance as well
as personal care and hobbies that we can't prevent from
using, maybe we'll be finding some organic alternative that
will surely not be that harmful to the air we breathe.
